At a charity day last year, an over excited Iraq war veteran inadvertently kicked off a strip of black trim from the passenger side door (i.e. "left" door as the car is RHD)(see diagram below) whilst getting into my 1993 348 Spider. For reasons mostly involving me being an idiot, I did not collect it from the pit garage is was "temporarily" stored in, so it was sent by an over enthusiastic employee to Ferrari heaven.

I have failed to find one in the UK, so must spread my search both further and wider and wondered if one the inmates of this august institution have any suggestions as to where such a part can be sourced.

The part has a separate TB/TB and Spider variants, and I am not sure what the difference is. Obviously, I probably have a better chance of finding a TB/TS version, so I wondered if anyone has any idea what the difference is and whether the part could be adapted.

    Thanks guys

    Stig

Have you tried asking these people selling a door if they have the trim? I take it you want the cream coloured piece inb the pic below. Buy yourself a set of the firtree typeclips from eurospares before putting it back (and do your other one too) and they will be completely solid :)

I think the spider variant is there.s a cutout for the speaker.

BTW If you can only source a black one you could always dye it???

    Hi Jeff

I tried prestige salvage, but they are not responding to emails, and I didn't want to call before I had clarified if a TS part would fit.

I think you are right about the cutout, but mine has no cutout despite being a spider, that is why I was hoping that there was someone in the brotherhood that could answer definitively.

Mine actually is black, but it would be just my luck at crema is the only colour available the world over...

Mines a TS and as you can see no cutout.

Same applies for dying - even better for going from cream to black.

Have you tried Douglas Valley :-(

Sorry I can't help you with finding the trim piece but as far as the speaker cutout'
Original trim - speaker covered by carpet.
Since I upgraded the old Alpine with a new HD system I also changed out the speakers and removed the carpeting which might have muffled the sound.
Found the same material from the upper panel and had the lower re lined. Kept the original material in case I want to put it back to the original state.
Hope you hunt down that trim piece!

Hiya Steve, long time no see...

In that case, the TS version would suffice as mine don't have cutouts.

Rocco looks like he may have one. If not, there is some geezer in Krautland that has one in tan, and that lovely feller Jeff has offered to dye it for me if needs be, so we are marching in the right direction now!

With luck will be up your neck of the woods during the spring, so no feeble excuses for not meeting at the Nila... :D

Is there any chance someone with a 348 Spider could post up a picture of the complete interior trim of the left hand door?

And could someone post up a similar picture of the TS/TB door?

I don't have access to my car at the moment (in the paintshop in the snow) and I'm beginning to think that the rear section of the inner door trim is a different shape, and pictures on the internet are tantalisingly elusive...

    Thanks

    Stig
