I currently have a black 355 spider and am looking to pick up a black on black 360 6 speed manual. As many of you know, these don't pop up too often, so I'm thinking of compromising and getting this black on tan. It seems very clean, has black carpet and piping to help offset some of the tan (which I really don't care for but have about the same in my 355) but I feel these guys are holding this car hostage at $99k because it's a 6 sp manual and has the sunroof.

I told them the sunroof is actually a negative to me and I couldn't care less, but they seem to want to hold firm around $100k. I told them I might do a deal in the 80's. It's hard for me to justify a price for ANY 360 coupe in the 90's, there are just too many out there from $65-85.

What are your thoughts? (Assume all the basics are covered regarding service, ppi, etc.)

I wouldn't pay 90k+ for that.. I've seen other black sticks around, if they don't bite then I'd wait if I were you. Are you really sure you want to "upgrade" to a 360? The 355 is a very nice FCar....

Thanks. Not upgrading. Keep'em both. My 355 is a beast. Capristo stage 3, track pipes and bypass remote are an immediate eargasm.

I think that price is way too high even if it is a 6 speed manual. I agree on your thoughts on price. I like how it says it had the belt service 800 miles ago. Who cares? They should say how many months ago it was changed. See it all the time.

The car has no daytona seats either which many people like. I think the sunroof is pretty cool but I would not pay a premium for it. I doubt many people will.

Let it sit a while and maybe they will change their tune when it does not sell at that crazy number.

I agree that is a pretty strong number for that car. Since you say you really want Black on black, I'd wait and then decide if you want to pay over market only when you find the perfect one!

Most desirable/best 360 coupe in the world might be worth $95K, on a good day, maybe. This is my starting point.

This car is not red (the most prefered color) and doesn't have Daytona seats or shields (the two most prefered options).

Black is nice, but not red (which is what most people want). Miles are great. 2003 is great. Sunroof - who cares? 6 speed - hard to find but not really a reason for a premium price...at least not yet.

I would say this car should sell for about $85K, maybe a bit more.

I own a 2002 6 Speed Black Black. Has shields, black calipers, HIfi stereo, books, keys, cover, OEM standard 18" wheels. 3M bra on hood and mirrors. No accidents. A few normal stone chips. NEVER been tracked. 5300 miles. Has belts and full service at Ferrari Dealer at 4400 miles in July 2012. Its pristine. Needs nothing.

    WHAT IT DOESNT HAVE:
    NO AFTERMARKET EXHAUST
    NO CHALLENGE GRILL
    NO DAYTONA SEATS
NO PIPING OR CONTRACT COLOR STITCHING

IT IS UNMOLESTED AND TOTALLY PERFECT!

I'd sell it. Make me an offer.

I'm the 2nd owner. I have the title in hand.

Stick and sunroof are just what I'm looking for, solid color a plus, but I'd prefer yellow or red. I've seen two of them now, including this one, both black.

Of course I dislike the price on this one, especially since it doesn't have a Daytona interior or shields (Not really necessary on a 360, IMO, because of the Dino ancestry). And I must say, the yellow calipers are distracting (Not hard to change).

Still, I'll pass. I do so much of this on feel. When my red 456M appeared w/shields and a tan Daytona interior, I put a deposit on it within a few hours of the listing being posted. Knew instantly it was the right one. The two stick/sunroof cars I've seen so far haven't done it for me.

    Cheers,

    George

It's a beautiful car - I like the sunroof option, very rare...black/tan works. They are really trying to stick it to someone on the price - mid to upper 80's would work though. The coupes tend to be less than spiders as well... If you could get them down under 90 I bet you'd be happy. Black/tan, 6spd, modular wheels...very easy to resell as well. Good luck! I think it's a gorgeous car.

This particular dealership seems to consistently price their cars at least 10-15K above market value. If the fish are biting at that price they may not be willing to negotiate.

When I was looking to buy my 360 coupe (more than 3 years ago now), it seemed like CNC had the corner on the market and that I was calling them at least once a week to inquire about cars they were offering.

What I observed regarding their asking prices:

Cars that were not too desirable to the normal buyer (blue, green exterior / blue, red interiors / strange combinations like blue-red, red-blue, silver-blue / no options, especially Daytonas and shields) or that had some odd story attached (many, many owners, many, many smog test failures) carried much lower ask prices than your pristine most desirable red-tan low miles, no stories car. The difference ran as much as $30K (low $70s versus low $100s - this is 3 years ago).

I also noted that CNC quickly sold 360s of both types, the bargains and the expensive.

Conclusion: Since CNC sells a lot of cars and sells them quickly - I would assume they know what they are dong.

Uh, have you guys actually seen the sunroof? It's a mess. It's ugly, poorly designed and executed, eats into headroom, and is a sales deterrent.

I don't love the sunroof and for 99k you could get a loaded spider in great shape. Coupe should be cheaper. My 99k got me a Daytona-seat, shield, challenge grills, modular rim, low mileage, mint condition sans one TINY rock chip on the boot cover (it's a 2004).

Sunroof is NOT an option you can premium for. I'd pass at that price, there are SO many 360's out there you can find another great specimen.

Ya, I've decided to pass on this, and anything offered by CNC. Their prices are so out of whack with everyone else, must be the "California Tax".

They have a black 360 for 109k right now with 17k miles. It's got a lot of carbon fiber upgrades that cost serious bucks, but they're basically adding up the retail cost of each of those parts and tacking them on to high end retail price of the car - la la land.

I think I'm going to buy the car from LouFerrari for a fair price for both parties and enjoy the camaraderie of buying from another Fchatter.

OK, who is getting this sweet car? I have been keeping tabs on it for a while but the timing isn't right so kind of sad to see it leaving the market.

I love it! And a buddy of mine was just in it this past weekend. 6'2". Fit in it with plenty of headroom.
Maybe 6'5" + will have an issue :)

not sure its a bad thing to bring back such an old thread.

But hey, Kevin, this car is now hitting 16000 miles and I am ready to get the belts done next month.

Just a headsup and a reference to the current market spike for manual 360s.

1st picture is this particular car doing 170+mph @ a local airport.
2nd picture is what it is now. need a car wash though
