Hi has anyone ever dealt with Lake Forest Sports Cars in IL? They have a 2008 430 Coupe White/Bordeaux I'm thinking of buying. It has 187 miles, so they're asking a little higher than a normal "used" car. ASKING 169k.
    Any one deal with them?

i've been to the dealer a couple of times, and they are really nice. I know that car has been sitting in there inventory for a while (argue for a lower price). It's priced high given it has most of the options that were available for the 430. I can't comment whether that translates to the market pricing as of today.

My personal opinion, really nice options, not sure about the interior color, but overall great car. Price is questionable but really low mileage is a plus :)..

    Good luck.

I agree about the guts, I'd prefer black or straight Rosso that bordeaux is a tad too dark for me. I traditionally only buy black exterior cars, but something about that sets it apart in my mind. So far they won't go lower than 165

I can assure you that LFSC will handle you with professionalism & respect.

Casey in operations has done so for me & she is a great representation of the ownership.

Additionally the Bordeaux interior is sublime in my opinion so please forge forward. It does have a few more miles than 187 tho' if you can handle that. :)

Ha yes i noticed that about the miles, guess they drove it last night! I'm trading my 02 360 Black/Black 6 speed for it, unless a member here buys it. I don't post often, but noticed he was looking for a black 360 today.

    I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks

With only 187 miles ,and being the demo of the owner of Lake Forest Sportscars, surely the car is still on the MSO and never titled? If thats the case, & no "in srevice" date for a retail customer, wouldn't it carry a full factory warrenty?

Ferrari made them put it in service as a demo. They can put a warranty on it and CPO it for approx 3500

That's funny - I was in there last week looking for a 360, and I was told they might be taking one in on a trade. The next day I got a message saying it was a Black / Black. Must have been yours! Too bad I'm looking for a red or yellow.

I will say that I was very impressed with the way LFSC treated me while I was in there. I made it clear to them up front I was only interested in finding a used 360. Even without the possibility of them selling me a more expensive car or one they even had in stock, they took all the time I needed to talk to me about things to look for, what to expect, ect. From that standpoint, I'd say they were top notch. Considering I don't even own a Ferrari yet I felt important even if I was probably at the bottom end of their clients.

I purchased one car from them and they did a PPI for my last car. If they have the car that I was looking for I wouldn't hesitate,I would purchase from them without worry.

I'm looking it find a locally owned 360 for my first Ferrari purchase. If you ever think about moving on to something else let me know!

Noticed on the E-bay ad for the 2009 F430 from miami_autosport it says on the heading ,still on the MSO Certificate, Never Registered. Wonder if they had to put it service as someone said Ferrari had required Lake Forest to do with the 2008 white car? Is that a particular rule with Ferrari has with all cars the Ferrari dealer's use as demos, that they have to be "put in service ",and that starts the clock ticking on the warrenty?

Isn't any one worried about a 5 year old car with 200 miles?

I know the car and more importantly the owner of the car, I can say without any hesitation that its my favorite 430 coupe. Every time I'm up there I drool on it. Top Notch driver, Rick is a very responsible Ferrari enthusiast and a class act all of the way. And he will be honest if he feels the car has any shortcomings. Inquire with conference.

IMO that is a fantastic car with a great list of options, only requires a "major drop" in ride height and your good to go.
