Well said. I knew Merc bringing him on was idiotic, didn't think I'd be proven right quite so soon.

I can only guess that he plays politics better than anyone beyond Bernie......

Does anyone know what his role really is at Merc? Beyond being a native German speaker & **** stirrer, I just don't get it.

    Cheers,
    Ian

YESSSS ... i am, after all, the only one expressing an opinion in this thread  Or ... do we never question "political motivations" in F1 ?? Surely I am the first, the one and only !! LOL :D

Keep the slower driver, with less fuel, up front as they parade home safely. Don't take advantage of any drafting ... and don't let the drivers finish in the order they both wanted to ... all in the name of "saving fuel". Issue the "team order" to the faster driver, behind ... because we all know that any "team order" to the slower driver, up front, will be ignored.

    Makes sense to me!

    Cheers :)

    How many guesses?

    - He had a very good pension fund?

    - He cashed his shares in Lauda Air?

    - His redundancy money from Ford?

    - He won the Euro Lottery but told no one?

    - He inherited?

    - He is s front man for the Russian Mafia?

    - That's Berezovsky missing money?

    - There is a woman behind?

Come on, do tell us! I have no nails left!!!

No problem with anyone questioning it, but it seems to me you are making a mountain out of a molehill with this issue.

Seems to me you are the only one having a problem with how they finished, to me alls well that ended well.

And it was good outing/result for Merc, something they have been striving for since they started back in F1.

They didn't need to run from those behind, and there wasn't any point to chasing the RBs.

Forget Ham. That was an order to get to the end of the race.

(Remember how Cheever used to blow up his Alfa -- or run it dry -- trying to chase down the cars ahead?)
(Anyone else remember the previous time they banned refueling? ;))

incorrecto ... at least one person agreed with me, in this very thread ;)

I don't really care whether Hamilton finishes above Rosberg or not ... it's the silly, transparent excuse that i've been commenting on (why silly, transparent? already explained, several times ... the slow driver, who also happened to be low on fuel, could have enjoyed a fuel-saving drafting-tow from the faster driver. Instead of giving the team order to the slower guy in front, to allow the pass and drafting-tow, the team order was given to the faster driver closing from behind).

Have fun you crazy fans, i'm out! :)

Its not good for f1 if rat and Bernie if Lewis can't keep tires on his car and finish behind some son of a chain smoker . no more cancer stick sponsorships f1 . too bad in my opinion

That's how my ancient brain works: It makes these odd connections and once I saw Ian's "Wot", it just triggered that song. :)

Besides: I couldn't decipher that message either. Maybe:

She wears an outfit related to your new avatar.

BTW: This is what I was watching as a child and it hooked me on Sci-Fi for life. I'm sure you (of all Kraftwerk people) would like it. Despite it being from ze mozerland. :) This predates Startrek by years btw.

Seriously, I was only a toddler when that aired, it is about the farthest recollection in my brain, yet it stayed through all the decades. Only recently did I discover that the whole series is now available on DVD.

Of course by today's standards it is utter crap and campy, but that's the fun. My favorite are the supersized goldfish swimming over the cuppola of the station. The whole thing is hilarious and gave Dietmar Schoenherr a start to his career, which was more based on his chiseled looks than any acting talent. After Orion came "Wuensch Dir was" but I digress.

    Enjoy!

PS: No wonder I'm also a HUGE fan of S.H.A.D.O., something I'm certain you're familiar with. Had all the Dinky toys as a kid. Now I got all the episodes on DVD. The sub was always my fav.;)
