A couple of rather blah pics, but the subjects looked good! Anyone look familiar? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great looking, well spec'd example of the V8 version of the 4porte. Lots of room in the back, even with Kevin sitting at a comfortable seating position in the driver's seat. Mostly, it was fun catching up with some of you, if for only a bit.
I have to say, when I saw the car yesterday my first thought was, "I miss Pininfarina." Too much German E-classy too little Italian Porte imho...esp the rear. Interior felt real comfy though.
Yeah, but there's only so much you can do when you need to include 4 doors and a trunk. Unless you want to end up with an AM Rapide (not bad) or Porsche Panamera (horrible to look at despite its super dynamics).
True, but nothing is as bad as the Panamera. It appears to be a experiment in 'what not to do in car design.' The new proposed California is a pretty thing. Did they display any of the concept drawings for the new QP? I thought there were better ideas than what they settled on.
Didn't see you there either. I drove in right before they took the cover off and was one of the last to leave.

The word Maserati reminds me of the Biturbo I bought in 1985. Never again will I commit such sin, no matter who owns the brand now.

Been on a month long FChat hiatus due to 18 hour work days...but... Anyone wanna guess where I am??? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Haha...aww, you totally cheated! Here are some more pics. The Alluminio Opaco was absolutely stunning, and I'm not even a fan of the greys. Not a bad way to start off a morning... Speaking of F12s...we seem to be accumulating them as a family. It was A.B.'s birthday (a special one at that!) a few days ago and since he's been asking for a Berlinetta for a while now, I thought it was time. I daresay he was pretty surprised! Check out the Novitec NF3s with the red brake calipers! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
All right, last but not least...a few pics from the Quattroporte launch in MV. Didn't actually get any of the featured car (whoops), but snapped a few of the stunning classics (priorities, priorities). Sadly don't have many as it started to pour outside. 1977 Maserati Merak SS (white; US release - note the bumper) & 1973 Maserati Bora (black), me beginning to look like a wet rat, a few 458s. Still have a lot of photos I need to dust off - Enzo's birthday celebration at the Petersen in LA, some 599XX Evo hangouts, etc. The 18 hour work days are about to begin again, though, so hopefully I can share all of those sooner than later! Hope everyone has fun on the drive tomorrow! Damn well, I was too late to guess, but I can tell you how I know it's an F12 and not a 458. This is how it differs from a 458 interior in the first photo you provided; the leather layered directly over the Tach is at slightly flatter angle than leather layer over the Tach in a 458, the volume knob is closer to the driver in the F12 and the indent in the lower dash down by the key is less pronounced on the F12. That isn't a customer car is it? Is that a dealer demonstrator? I believe the first customer F12 FOSF is getting is black/black. That's only the third US spec F12 I've seen. Sorry for the nerd moment .
Hah, most of my life is one big nerd moment, so I appreciate the like minded! It is a dealer demonstrator. There was a red one in a few weeks ago, but sadly I was back in LA at the time. Had to live vicariously. I've also heard that the first F12 will be black/black... I actually wouldn't have thought a 458, but it was a distinctive enough interior to me. Super comfortable, and oddly, very similar feeling to the California.
Well, if you're living vicariously through sitting in the car, I guess seeing the photos of you sitting in the car is living vicariously through the vicarious, it's like an infinity shot . Ferrari of SF will actually be getting a customer car before Ferrari of SV which is rare. Although Ferrari of SV will be getting the first LaFerrari on the west coast which is cool.
Hahaha.... Now that'll be a great reason to drive up for a few days...I still wish they came up with a better name....Ferrari LaFerrari?! *&%$....
