I was determined to make this month's C&O, since I knew that the warmer weather was likely to bring out a record crowd, and that was probably the case; if the lot had been twice as big, it still might have filled up. I had decided not to bring the Ferrari, since an intermittent misfire that I've been dealing with resurfaced on my trip back from Rome a couple of weeks ago. So I took the Honda and came as a spectator, and as early as 7:35, still barely found a place to park!

The new cars of most interest this month were probably the pair of McLaren MP4-12Cs. In addition, there seemed to be some unusual color groupings, such as Lamborghinis in Verde Ithaca and Challengers in Plum Crazy!

My favorite car there was a neat 1967 Fiat Dino, which was provided by (surprise!) Ivan Ruiz. This lovely blue spider had been purchased in Italy and has the smaller 2.0 liter V-6.

This group of photos is introductory; I'll have more good stuff later in the week.

I admit that I did not shoot a lot of German or Japanese cars, and that has nothing to do with 1939-1945; it's just that I didn't see too many that, to my mind, deserved to be "Canonized". The LFAs were interesting, in that the signs indicated that they were the first and last examples to be sold in the U.S.

So to make up for that, I included a Swedish car, and a beast that must be at least part Great Dane. (I heard a lot of people say: that's not a dog, that's a horse! I can just imagine the bill for feed.....)

Did anyone say motorcycles? There were some neat bikes there, both old and new, including a Harley with a spectacular paint job and a whole lot of speakers! And I never knew that Snap-on marketed a motorcycle!

And trucks? There were a few. What looks like a Bronco is actually its inspiration, an International Scout.

And to finish off, how about a Fisker Karma? I'm still waiting to see the new larger Tesla.....

No you did get it. I was afraid it was just over shadowed by all the rust, and what a good example it is of a 1967 classic. We had one that was white and had a beautiful brown stripe down the side of the body, and it always smelled like gas was leaking inside the cabin.

It's up there in post #7, in probably its "least rusty" angle. I just thought that it was appropriate that a vehicle like that had parked "off road"! It had a placard from the Georgia Tech show, where it might have been entered in the "student beater" class.

Great shots as always, thank you. Hopefully mine will be back in one piece by the June show. Looks like it keeps getting better and better.
