I can watch the 312t2 jumping at the Ring all dayreal or CGI. The restLauda and Hunt eyeing each other as they race side side, fictitious wheel banging, and ludicrous dialogueall typical Hollywood schlock...
Surprising the movie is rate R. I think they would of made it PG-13, if they are trying to attract more of the US audience.
I think that it will be one of the greatest movies around motorsport, but i'm not really sure if this start's a ''fashion'' around racing movies. I believe that after Senna's movie/documentary everybody started to make films around motorsport. After Rush one more located in the making.. What is your opinion?
Neat website. Thanks! It's going to be hard to meet my expectations. Which are even higher with a good director and writer. But this is an easy one for them to screw up. But I do hope they don't. Matt
Right. Especially the part about Hunt getting "serviced" in an empty garage stall minutes before the Japanese GP.
I just saw an extended preview for this while seeing the great gatsby. It looks absolutely incredible
Something about the look, the way it was filmed looks so low budget to me. I also don't see much of a story in it. In real life, I liked Hunt's commentary and I liked Nikki's driving, stood next to him in the pits in Montreal in 84 while he was talking to his mechanic about the car between sessions.
In one of these trailers (trailer 2) from this month (MAY), there is a quick scene of what seems to be Cevert's accident, someone with better eyes, please confirm. Rush - Movie Trailers - iTunes
Well, I wish they didn't make this Movie so I would not have to read all the complaints above before anyone has seen it. Seriously, I am going to go enjoy it. I am sure Ron Howard is a better Director than the Critics above.
Experience has taught me to walk into any Hollywood film with low expectations and hope that I can be pleasantly surprised...
