Hi work has started stripping my 1973 gt engine and we seem to have two different heads!? Front head 135c000, 4206570 Rear head 135c000, 4261132 It appears the front head (4,5,6) is not right for car, does anyone know what this would have been for and is there any 246 heads available?
i have several heads, totaly rebuilt with new guides, seats, skimmed pressure tested, i sent you email peter
there was a change of heads (and block) from chassis no. #04830 but unfortunately Ferrari used different no.s internally....
I just checked cylinder head no`s on #07390 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is anyone able to help identify the incorrect head on my car? If I know what it's for I have a chance of selling it to fund the right one!
91045025 indicate its a 2,0 Fiat Dino head i take picture of some 2.0 heads this weekend 4261132 is a late 246 head
Does this have anything to do with the "D" block question posted in http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/404131-iron-ablock-casting-letters-best-why.html?
I assume so..... unfortunately I don`t have any documentation papers.... Ferrari Classiche will have...
I still have been unable to identify my head, checked it again today and the water inlet is 20mm, not 23mm on the 426 head. Chain guide mounting hole is not cast into 420 head.
The early 206 heads did not have the chain guide. I have attached a PDF of the relevant pages showing the absence of the 206 chain guide and its presence on the 246GT head.
Here is the timing chain diagrams note the 206 does not have the chain guide. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes my engine builder did suspect 206 however aparently it could also be fiat dino 2 litre, It would be nice to know for sure as It is no use to me so I want to sell to fund the 246 head
My head has a part number 4206570 there is no 420 numbers in the parts diagrams I can see, anymore ideas?
