    On Saturday I attended a Lotus club mountain drive around Asheville and we had a rare Ferrari join us. Detuned to only around 600 hp.

    Awesome! Do you know if it is a true LM, or was it a standard (if there is such a thing!) F40 converted? How did the car sound?

    I always like how you can see the weave on the roof of an F40. I am not sure it is intentional, but to me it is one of the best things about them!

    He said it was one of 20 originally made at the factory and used to be raced.

    that it might be Roland's car. Can't tell by the pictures. If it is, not a true LM but an F40 just the same.

    that is Rolands F40. A street car with some pretty cool mods. Great that it was out and about!

    Roland is a real character. I had a great time visiting with him at dinner during Cavallino week a few years ago. Awesome car too!

    I've met Roland at a couple of events up in S.C., the last being last year at the late Coach I's estate near Clemson. A fun guy with a great car.
