    Chris,

FYI, another user just sent a car to this company (authorized Ferrari paint shop).

They were able to get quite a bit out of the insurance company to do the work. You may want to give them a call.

Karosserie...Is an awesome shop and would be my recommedation also. As noted they are factory approved for Ferrari, as well as AUDI, Aston, jAG. and McLaren I believe.

Yeah, there are a lot of parts on ebay, plenty of people are parting 355's.

As for painting, I wouldn't care if Ferrari gave their stamp of approval. Go to the 458 section and see what kind of paint jobs they are putting out on brand new cars they are atrocious. Plenty or Body shops that can paint better than any factory.

If your going to do the swap, call GT Car parts 623-780-2200.
If NNJ isn't too far, Arena motors partners with Parkway Auto in Elmwood Park, NJ
Reasonable, and very nice work. But Parkway is not Ferrari certified - if you care.
    He's taken care of my 355 & 308.

    Here is something to consider:

If you ever sell the car, the buyer may care how it was fixed. If you have the work done by a Ferrari authorized shop, right / wrong / indifferent, it will look better and make the potential buyer feel better.

If you are paying out-of-pocket, do what you need to get your car done and ready to enjoy. If you run this thru insurance - get the best shop you can find to do the work since the insurance will cover it. The place I posted has skills that I've never seen before when it comes to getting money from the insurance company.

I'll see if the other member will post about his experience.

    Chris,

First, I am so sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident on your first day of ownership. I work in the insurance industry and thought I might share my perspective.

If you got the plate number of the person who cut you off, you should report incident to police. If it is deemed she is at fault, her insurance should pay for the repairs with no cost to you.

I know an individual who just had his 430 repaired by the body shop Miller uses and they did a great job and you would never know the repair was made.

That's no fun. Sorry to hear your news. I say get it done right so you will feel good every time you see the car - you won't be thinking about the past.

Best wishes on a quick repair.

Not as bad as I thought:: needs a bumper, fog light a rocker panel cover and to paint/ blend front of car as some small pebbles that bounced off the hood chipped the paint

The problem is PARTS:: I will only use top quality not because I intend to sell it bit because the car deserves the best.. The shop that is gonna fix it is not a Ferrari shop but he owns 6 high end cars himself and is a perfectionist as an artisan at body work.. He saw the look on my face as I limped it in, but after he stripped in down is all cosmetic thank God for rear engines!!

Please let me know if any place to readily get a bumper please let me know ASAP I will keep you all updated.. Thanks for the kind words she WIlL prevail :)

Here is what should looked like 45 mins prior to the "event".. I drove her home from John Tirrell @ IFS who has been a delight to work with.

$29500 later!!! i had a fully serviced, new main bearings, roller bairings, full new top end, with race guides, race valves, and new seats.. All new belts, .. Essentially a 0 mile car

    Again thanks for all help

There are plenty of body parts on ebay. Used original Ferrari.

I guess it depends on how bad the parts are damaged the front bumper and the rocker are fiberglass that can be fixed depending..
