The mechanical pulley driven air/smog pumps can be replaced with a Cardone 32-2600M electrical unit. This is almost a direct bolt on. According to their website, this model is designed for a 5.7L Chevy...same as the old mechanical unit. So, I would assume the PSI and CFM are very similar. I'll post up some installed pix when I get a chance or PM me if you need pix.

alrighty then - a quick update

Contacted Advance Autoparts and they don't have the Strongarm in their inventory, and can order Stabilus

They do have the hazard switch under the BMW part number and I have ordered one for $62

They did suggest that I contact Northern Foreign Auto Parts regarding the struts and they can order the Stabilus with a 3 day delivery for $68 each

I am still looking for information on a replacement thermocouple

Jmlarson, what model/year? If I recall correctly some models do not have a cross reference for the sending unit. I believe they are less than $100 at Ricambi.

For 308 gt4 and maybe others for the hazard/flasher relay you can use advance auto parts flasher EP35. For $12.99

Almost positive that the sending unit is the same as one off an Alfa Romeo of the same era. Try International Auto Parts.

This is about the Speedometer Drive Sensor, which is mounted on the 308 engine block from the top and conveys speed information to the 308 speedometer via a two wire cable.

There are two part numbers for the speedo drive sensor:

106324: First sensor version, conical body. Green (VCC) and red/black (GND/Signal) wires. Seems to have been the factory standard for all 308 models up to at least 1980.

124146: Second version, replacement of 106324. Early versions had a green and red/black wire, from then on the wire colors changed to brown (VCC) and yellow (GND/Signal). (Note: The wiring in the connector of 124146 seems to be often swapped, while installing check that the sensors brown wire goes to the cars green wire, and the yellow wire goes to the cars red/black wire).

From what i know 106324 and the successor 124146 have been deployed starting from the early 308 GT4 up to 308 GTB/GTS as well as early (81-82? US only?) 308 GTBi and GTSi's. The 308 QV uses a different sensor type (part number 116987), which is not interchangeable with the earlier sensors.

If you have a broken 106324 type sensor, you might want to try to repair it before buying a replacement as these sensors are now quite expensive to replace. I posted some repair information here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/416720-308-early-speedo-drive-sensor-repair.html

There's a subject on water pump belt going on and was wondering if there's a cross reference on it? Single belt. 2v 308.

I never thought of it, but I should buy one as a spare just in case.

As the factory parts are becoming un-obtainium, and prices are high, I have had the good fortune to find an actual distributor of hose and re-useable fittings to easily make your own replacements. I have no affiliation with these guy's, but they are extremely helpful and specialize in oil cooler systems for European classics.
British American Transfer (BAT - MOCAL Oil Control Systems) has a wide assortment, and depending on what your engine and cooler are fitted with, they have a solution.
They do carry metric bajno to -AN fittings, up to 22MM (this is the size used on my GT4). Part # BJ2210M will convert Banjo to -10AN, then you can use a regular -10AN hose end.
On the cooler end, once you figure out what you have you can find a solution. Mine appear to be a female 22mm in the cooler with a male to male 22 to 26 fitting installed. If that is what you have, you can replace the fitting with #AM22AN10 and then use a regular AN-10 fitting. The wrinkle is if you have a 26mm male welded on the cooler, the only 26mm to AN they carry is in -12AN (#F45-2612 for 45 degree, FS-2612 straight) so you will need -12AN on the engine side.
You can replace the banjos with 22mm to -AN 90s if you care to go that route (see http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/331310-oil-line-rebuilding.html)
I was able to get a local hose company to weld -AN fittings on my old banjos for $20 each. They can, of course, make entire hose assemblies, but none I found can do this with swivel ends, which are a major advantage. Having at least one end of each hose swivel not only makes fitting easy, but helps to eliminate failure caused by a rigid coupling between the engine (moving) and the cooler (fixed).
Using re-useable fittings means that replacement of a hose takes a few minutes with easily available hose.

Here is another source for block fitting to convert to M22 to AN fittings. They have both M22 to AN male and M22 direct to AN hose (eliminating one fitting).
    https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=SETRABANMALE
    https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=SETRABRU

They have both M22 to AN-12 and AN-10 fittings. I am thinking of doing this with an oil cooler bypass and a nice new oil cooler.

I was browsing air injection system parts, and ran across a description of the valve that appears to be the cross-reference for the air injection system diverter valve (did not purchase one, but compared the photos closely to the Ferrari part, which I own). To my eye, it looks identical.

For reference, the first block of photos shows the factory part.

    Valvola Diverter
    Diverter Valve
    Ferrari Part Number 119694

    Cross-reference part: AIRTEX-7D1059

The cross-reference part is listed for use in select 1987 to 1992 Ford vehicles such as the Econoline vans, Ford Broncos and some Ford trucks.

I wanted to contribute to this thread as it has helped me quite a bit.

All of this info relates to my 1980 GTBi, US spec. Your car may vary, but if your car needs the Ferrari part numbers listed below, these substitues will work.

    Rear differential seal part numbers Ferrari #'s 104300 (old #), 108157 (old #), 125078 (new #).
Seal size is 45mm X 62mm X 10mm. The best way to seek one out is to use those dimensions as a part number. Following those dimensions, if you would prefer the single lip seal, the abbreviation would be SC, if you would prefer the double lip seal, (which is better in my opinion), that abbreviation is TC.
Examples would be Part # 45X62X10SC or 45X62X10TC

This can be done with Google to find a good online seal supplier, or via your local seal/bearing supply house.

Front wheel bearing seal part number Ferrari # 115968
    Seal size is 45mmx60mmx10mm,

Following the same, the part number would be 45X60X10TC as this is a double lipped seal, at least mine were.

BMW style CV axle boot kit with integrated flange: BMW part number 33 21 9 067 912.
These are not the original Lobro type boots.
I tried the Porsche 930 and 928 boots mentioned by other FChatters but, neither boot fit my application correctly, so it is possible my flanges were changed at one point.

I owned a 328GTS in Italy for four years and am thinking of getting one here in the USA. I have been searching for a workshop manual for the 328 series cars and can't seem to find one. There are plenty for the 308. Any ideas or is the 308 basically the same as the 308 just with a larger capacity. Thanks tongascrew {a regular contributer in the vintage section]
