As one of the ancients I must say that I am totally addicted to this place. A very special community we have here.
Agreed, going on my 11th year now - pretty amazing Have never been on any internet thing so long as F-chat :d
There's one other site (Audio Asylum) that I've been visiting & posting on since the late 1990's. Just in the last month, I've pretty much stopped visiting, and completely stopped posting because they eliminated the forum/subsection that I found the most interesting. There are many times that I don't agree with some of the moderating decisions here, but f-chat continues to have fascinating discourse on a broad range of topics.
Hey Steve - Anyone know if Flist is still around? Ernie - Good talking to you last night, congrats again on the move.
Yes, the original Ferrari List is still around - I still get messages once-in-awhile, but not many. Lots of original members are still subscribed, but don't post much.
Dang, I must have let my subscription lapse... Sure remember some interesting posts from Clyde Romero when he was hot under the collar!
I joined FList in 99. What was the guy with the 328 that would post an absolute ton (Ken Rentiers?)? I actually met Clyde and sat next to him at the Montreal GP one year. Very nice guy in real life. -dsd
To paraphrase cartoonist and satirist Jef Mallett, if you think time flies when you're having fun, it hits the afterburners when you're not... His best quote, though, is that "an opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it"; something I try to keep in mind before I give mine. Regards, Bob H
