Do you think this will adhere to chrome rims?

Buy a can and try it on one wheel, it will only cost you $6 to see. I bet it works, just start with very light coats.

I actually already have a can since occasionally I use it in my job. I need to clean the rims first. I did look it up and shouldn't be a problem.

Wow,.. I mean Wow. Somebody please get this man some freaking cast momo's to polish,.. Like right now! --ROTFL I mean seriously laughing.

    Hey Brent what's up?
I could not figure out how to pm so here goes.
    Long freakin time Mr. Brent.
If you can't figure out who I am by the username then,.. way to much Berryman for you.

    Anyway enough of my snarking.
    Serious question:
Was the last RIR record an absolute one,..i.e. ownership of the last absolute track record for FA at RIR or just a sanctioned event one?

I just started remembering and hey,.. Cool to look you up?

    --you know who ;-)

What do you guys use to clean the wheels of brake dust after the car has been driven for a while? Does the brake dust just wash off the plastidip painted wheel?

They do look nice, and I'm into matte black wheels!

Dude PM sent! It was the absolute track record on that configuration for any car and then they bulldozed the track. I was going to go to he museum out there to see if their records match up.

I haven't cleaned mine yet although there is a spray product out there called "Brake Dust Pro" just spray on and hose it off. It is said to work amazing on Dipped wheels.

I just use soap and water and a sponge. Afterwards, if i feel like it, I will use some of the Meguiars tire spray on them.

Still looking great on my car, since October.

Thanks for the tip. Just one question since you have had this on your wheels since October. Did you just clean the wheels and spray a few light coats or applied primer before the Plasti-Dip. I'm doing the wheels on my Audi first, then the 348. I regretted when I did them in silver, but they will be matte black in a week or so!

I took the plasti-dip off my wheels today. I really liked the way it looked but I'm getting the itch to maybe sell her so figured I'd clean it up.

Don't use any primer just degrease the wheels before spraying.

Yes, I gave the wheels a thorough cleaning (I think I used something like simple green), then dried thoroughly. I used index cards around the rims to prevent overspray, then sprayed several light coats on the wheels.

I did not use any kind of primer.

If you do a general google search, you will find many how-to's, with pictures.

    Good luck!
