I have been watching some old F1 stuff lately and found some really great coverage that I had never seen. This 86 qualifying session is the best coverage of the era I have ever seen. The features by Jackie Stewart are amazing where he explains the the way it was at the height of the turbo's in Senna's pit. This tape has the best sound of Turbo F1 engines I have heard outside of being there in person while Jackie is holding the turbo's in his hands. A car goes by at speed and you can get a good sense of the power of those engines.

In 1986 the pole was 1:18:4 with top speed of 320km/hr on the back stretch while in 1993 the pole was 1:13:? with top speed of 297km/hr at the same point on the identical track. The 93 cars were 3.5L n/a with all the drivers aids that year for all top teams. So it goes to show how tech enabled a huge 5 second/lap advantage yet 12+mph slower on top end. Kind of amazing.

**Sound of turbo @8:52** All F1 fans should listen to that, also watch Senna slide his car all over with 3 minutes left in the session. Walker and Hunt were great.

Thanks for sharing! Watching the cars slide like that in the 86 session is just too cool.
