Wow you guys are on fire tonight. Hah. Ok. Some news now. Everyone has updates, a lot. Mclaren are reportedly bringing what is practically a B-series car with wings, sidepods, exhaust. Mercedes are changing their livery a bit to be more 'silver arrow' as Niki Lauda stated. New front and rear wings and exhaust. Lauda stated Mercedes' intentions as a team are to find .1-.2 per race. That's a lofty goal. Looking forward to the new livery and bits. Ferrari have a big package but I'm hearing its lots of little things, nothing overly big, same goes for Red Bull. I'm wondering of my earlier prediction that F138 and rb9 would have a low development ceiling is somewhat coming out. No idea what Lotus are doing I hear Marussia are further updating their hydraulic suspension which they just started running. Good for them! Hope they do well as I do like Bianchi.
They need to!....... Right now, seems they've got their version of Clifford going on. Further, they seem lacking their usual confidence - I read (Autosport?) they're now also having "correlation issues"..... Who gives a ****? Per race?!..... You mean per lap, right? Vettel/Alonso/Kimi Other fun parts of F1 if Vettel keeps winning: Marussia vs. Caterham--Still the most intersting battle among teams. Which team will beat the other? Which team might actually score a point this year? Will either team race in 2014? Will they pass Williams? Stay tuned! Same BAT channel! Force India--are they really going to stay right up there and beat McLaren, Sauber, Williams all year?

What makes you think that? Hembery says the prime (the newly slightly reconfigured back to 2012 spec hard here) will be significantly slower than the option (medium). They'll all run the option in qualy. Then we'll see who can make 'em last for a while on full tanks. I don't see any reason this change should benefit any one over another. Cheers, Ian
Red Bull will go very well on these tires but I actually think Mercedes will be quickest on the harder compound, but degradation may be quicker. We know now from Kimi's commentary that the Merc is particularly good at heating tires and making them work straight away but perhaps a bit too hard. It's amazing how much these super sensitive drivers know simply by watching a car perform. Ferrari would be very tough to beat here if they can get their car at or near pole. Im reading only small updates for the Benz. Not seeing anything about new wings or exhaust: Mercedes mit Schmalspur-Evolution: Dem Reifenkiller auf der Spur - AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT Also the livery looks just the same to me but now the three pointed star is bigger. Was hoping for less green.

What we can say with some certainty is that the Red Bull likes harder compound tyres, which backs up its early-season complaints that it was creating too much load for the softer Pirellis to handle. The medium and (new) hard compounds on offer this weekend should suit Red Bull, therefore, and the Circuit de Catalunya has long been a happy hunting ground for the team. But while Vettel looks capable of extending his lead in the championship this weekend, the next two races in Monaco and Canada will offer a very different challenge.

sniff sniff. so true, don't get me started. W04 has new rear wing endplates and exit louvres in the endplates. The flow conditioners just prior to the sidepods are no longer triple elements, rather it's just a single long element, still unsure regarding the front wing as the only one Merc has had out and visible is an older unit.... Not a bad pick but forgive me for pointing out you have LH and Nico mixed up, Nico as yet has not finished ahead of LH.
That's cause Nico followed team orders at Malaysia, and Hammy, to his credit, admitted Nico was faster.... Barring issues I think Fred will win.
If Lotus figures out the medium tire this race they'll be in the running for a win again. However...with the 2012 spec hard tires now I can see many more doing 2 stops now (which is utter BS IMO, but alas...the big boys have complained enough for Pirelli to bulge). Perhaps lotus can do a 1 stop to piss the rest of even more, lol. Mercedes will probably start from pole, followed by vettel then ferrari. Kimi will start from the 3rd row if the mediums are figured out. As for the race: Rosberg to go backwards (what Webber manages at the start Rosberg seems to do the entire race ). Lotus to crawl forwards with clever pitstopping. Ferrari really need a clean race with no silly issues this time around. Vettel will challenge for the win. Forza Kimi.
