Please forgive me if this has been discussed to death in the past, but I couldn't find anything regarding the topic of what car insurance companies 458 Ferrari drivers are using? Can anyone please share what company you have gone with and what you are paying per year for the coverage? My agent has been having a tougher time than expected getting a company to insure my 458 that I am taking delivery of this week. Please help!

State Farm. I paid $1800/year for a new 458 spider. It helps to have multi car and home owners with the same company.

State Farm has insured 5 Ferrari's for me over the past 30 years. Never a problem.

Then again, I have a clean record.

I have Geico, since my first Ferrari in 2007.
Im addition to driving record, Insurance costs will depend on your location and if u have multiple polices with a company. Actually, there are a few 458 Italia threads on insurance. Did you do a search? Consider checking these as well.
    Wish you the best.

    i use chubb.
they will give you "stated value" in case of theft or a a total collision.
most insurance companies will not offer this (instead, they pay "depreciated value").
chubb also allows you to shut off the collision coverage in the winter.
    this saves quite a bit.
pm me if you want the name of my agency.

Chubb may be the best but they are also extremely expensive, at least from what I have found and I think a lot of the expense is for their name.

Do you have Geico on a 458? If so how much do you pay a year for coverage?

I have been with Geico 17 years, they cover my f430, range rover and new M5 for a decent rate. I wondered if they cover 458's since i am considering buying one soon. Let me know, thanks!

How about some dollar values? How much are you paying for your insurance and what company are you using?

Ryan, Yes they cover my 2013 458. Have been with Geico for about 10 years.
My first Ferrari that they insured was a F430.

I pay about $2600/yr for just the 458 with $1000 deductible (on a policy with 2 other cars for myself and my wife). Excellent driving record. Am going to check about increasing the deductible to maybe $2500 or slightly higher and see what the cost will be.

Depends where you live. State Farm, Progressive, and Geico do not insure Ferraries worth more than 150 in NJ. I use Leland West with 6000 miles and was 300 cheaper than Chubb.

I just took delivery of my 458 couple a month ago and had similar problem. I had Hagerty for my 360 they wouldn't write the 458 - I had a couple of small claims - largest $3,000 - one was rental car and had the insurance on it - didn't think it would count against me - it did - I'll never turn in a claim under $5,000 again - ever. Anyway no one would write it - found MK insurance agency out of Elmhurst Illinois - Jackie - she rocks. I got great coverage - 6,000 miles a year allowed and I pay $3,000. Watch out for this one - in many policies if you drive to and from work you aren't covered - and if you aren't covered your umbrella won't cover either. Jackie is a pro - google mk insurance agency - my company is modern American home I think.

I am also located in Michigan and have used Hagerty in the past to insure a 458 but recently switched to Grundy because their coverage is much better and they could insure everything, house, boat, daily drivers, exotics, and classics. For the 458 it was a little less than 2k a year.

It is great to hear Geico will cover the 458. I heard that Geico will only cover up to $150,000 vehicles so they must make exceptions as in your case...

I have a $500 deductable on all of my cars, I have a perfect driving record, live in Northern Virginia and I pay roughly $2750 per year total for all 3 cars. I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport, 2008 F430 coupe and a 2013 M5.

I will try to use Geico when I get the 458 but will probably have to up the deductable to get a better rate.

Just out of curiosity, how much was your insurance on your F430 when you had it vs. your 458 with Geico?

I have 6 cars, including a 458 and pay approximately $4,500 per year. I use Marsh, Private Client Services Division out of Las Vegas. The family has a clean driving record and we have a $1,000 deductible. Also, our homeowner's and other insurance is through them. The company that issues the policy is ACE.

Ryan, I am currently out of town and will check when I return next week. Hopefully I still have some of my insurance records from my 2007 F430 which I traded in 2011. Will let you know. As someone mentioned above if you file an insurance claim in for a couple thousand it will likely haunt you in the end. Probably best to have a deductible of $3000 - $5000 which I am going to check on the premium this week for my 458; my deductible is currently $1000.

Statefarm....I am 33 and just got my First Ferrari this year. Pay $192 per month with Statefarm for my 2011 458 and I don't have my other car with them or homeowner's insurance or anything else. They were WAY cheaper than anywhere else for me.

Did get a quote from my long time insurance carrier, Amica, and it was about 2,100.
