I think "Bellissima" would be an appropriate word to use here, Pete.

Hang on a minute... you don't currently have a stripe and your bottom sills have always been black. ;) :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

He made me take mine off as he said only 1 person could have a stripe on the 348 in the UK.

He's SAS, so I took mine off.

    :D

Was going to say "but your sills are black" but everyone got there first. Regarding stripes Sy, you're a nice chap, but if you put a stripe on my paintwork at the upcoming meet, I may have to kill you. Nothing at all personal, just thought it was better for us all to know ahead of time :D

Got to agree, James. As I've said lots of times, I wanted a 348. So that's what I got.

Michael, thanks. As for the number I'll PM it to you later. Regarding the wheel, I guess it's each to their own. It's a Momo wheel, obviously very similar in design to the ones fitted to the 308s and 328s for racing. I still have all the originals (ie wheel, pedals, door locks, indicator stalk ends etc) but I just like that wheel. It's actually a little smaller than a standard one which takes the already quick steering and makes it feel lightning fast. Going back would make it feel like that was slowed down again. Anyway, may do it some day, but for now the wheel stays :)

Thanks Andrew. Like I said before, I may be selling her someday and you may be looking by then. Perhaps I'm just prepping her :) You would have to pass the rigorous interview process that the next owner would be subjected to mind ........

Did have one complement though, got a letter from a Ferrari Main Dealer who had seen the car - they asked if I was interested in selling her any time in the near future. I politely told them I wasn't. :)

Andrew, just read your comment. Now that beats the Main Dealer asking to buy her. Gentlemen, my work here is complete :)

Hey, you left me out! You're forgetting category 2b:

Those who obsess about owning a 348 someday because they read FChat.

Believe me, I get it. ;) Pete's is undoubtedly one of the very finest 348s in existence.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

If I remain in the UK, it could well happen. I'm sure I've got sufficient time to prepare for the interview process. :)

Currently, it looks like I will be applying for jobs in the United States. It's a bit of a bleak time to be a newly qualified PhD in the United Kingdom.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Our loss if that happens Andrew. I've lived in the States quite a bit (NC, DC and FL).

I'll tell you what, I'll compromise and give you a quick insight into the tranformation. Much of it is scatered about on here and another forum as well as on a couple of computers but hopefully this gives a good idea of what was done by showing a few 'highlights' and some 'before' and 'afters'. See if you can work out which were the shots where I thought "What the hell have I got into!" :) Last shot is for Andrew (Redd)......

Hopefully that gives a bit of a snapshot of the transformation that my car has been through over the time from when I bought her until now. It can be done, but it takes a bit to get it all sorted.

Thanks. Not delusional I don't think, I think there may be another explanation. You never know, maybe some day that stuff will all be put into perspective.... :)

    Will do, cheers.

You are a proffesional! It can be one of the best 348 throughout the world!!!

Have you really though in creating a proffesional service to become all the 348s such as they should have always been? It is as a brand new or even better!

    YOUR IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks ED. Got to say, although I did some of it, I got the true professionals to do the 'tricky bits'. Thanks all the same, though :)
