    Asked my dealer to measure clutch wear and he told me because it was a dual clutch, there is no wear??

    Yes.... and it is a "wet" clutch. It sits in a lubricating fluid that makes for longer life. Then having dual clutches cuts down on the additional losses you would otherwise get from a wet clutch arrangment.

    They are supposed to be "good for the life of the car". We are in a fortunate time where our Ferraris are reliable and have better performance then ever!

    The clutch cannot be replaced separately from the transmission according to Ferrari. Does anyone know if they specify a transmission fluid change at any interval or is it lifetime?

    Ferraris nowadays seem to be more reliable then "every days" cars. It is just amazing.

    They are doing a great job!

    I think the 458 is reverse engineered from an alien space craft and built by the space people who Ferrari captured and keeps in the basement of Enzo's house. There's no way human beings engineered and built a vehicle this perfect. No way!

    Too bad this isn't April fools day. It would have been fun to have a thread were we all said the dealer was a moron. :)
