They look great but same old problem with rear offset. I need to get them shaved off and was wondering if anyone knows of some good places to get this done in the Miami FL area. I live in Marathon FL so the closer the better. Thanks for any help.

Had 18mm shaved off of mine, makes a world of difference. I just used a machine shop a buddy recommended. They charged me $100 to do both wheels. Hope you find a good shop in your area.

Hi, I am presently about to embark on the same adventure. What length of bolts did you end up using on the rear after removing the 18mm ?

That is what I've been reading. Do you have any pics with the 18mm shaved off? I might end up having to ship them off to someone who is familiar with this.

I ordered Hill Engineering bolts from Ricambi. I don't remember the exact size. I basically subtracted 18mm from the size of the old bolt and ordered the closest hill bolt to match. I can pull a bolt tomorrow and measure it if you want an exact size. The machining of a wheel is a scary idea, but even after shaving 18mm off the back, there is still more meat on these wheels than the wheels on my jeep. Don't worry, it's safe, and not too challenging for a decent machine shop.

What year do you have? Jeff just bolted these on his '94 Spider with no shaving required.

It's a 95. The wheels fit on the car without shaving, but I was not happy with the look. They stuck out a bit too far for my taste. Didn't look like they belonged on the car. The 18mm made a big difference to my eye. I wish I had taken a picture of them before shaving the backs to show the difference.

Ah, yes. Truthfully, I think they stick out a bit much for me on Jeff's car too, so I think our tastes coincide. You do not have to shave them, but they will look more natural. Good luck and post pix!

I think it's because the front and back of the rear wheel well tapers in so much that without shaving the wheels, you can see a ton of tire tread when looking at the car from the rear, or from the front fender. The wheels actually fill the top of the wheel well nicely pre shave, but the taper of the wheel well killed the look for me.

Looking forward to seeing those pics! Thinking of doing the same on my 355.
