We'll be working on both cars at the same time. They should be done at the same time and ready for testing hopefully late 2014.
great! also how about US regulation would the stradale needs to pass all crashtest etc. to have US plates? Eager to see this project~
Both will be converted US legal cars as Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina and P 4/5 Competizione were. We'll likely start with 4C's.

Good choice. Are you considering developing the 4C drivetrain too, or will you be focussing on an alternative? Best, Jack.
I really like where this project is going. I think the 4C will be an excellent platform from which to build. Are they done yet, I want to see them NOW!!! Mark
Well the last infos say that 4C is ready for production and it's weight will be just 895kg. Specifically, it is amazingly 400kg lighter than the Porsche Cayman S which is actually similarly-sized to the Alfa Romeo 4C. This incredible weight figure of 895kg has been achieved through the use of advanced materials, with one of the most notably weight-saving features being the carbon fiber monocoque which weighs just 65kg. Furthermore, the Alfa Romeo 4C features hybrid brakes which weigh an impressive 2kg less each than standard discs, as well as thinner windows and lightweight plastic bumpers and wings. These weight saving measures are complemented further by the fact that the Alfa Romeo 4C’s body isn’t made from sheet steel, and is rather constructed for a material dubbed Sheet Moulding Compound which is 20% lighter while also being corrosion resistant. As a reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C features a 1.75-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 237hp. While such a powertrain doesn’t sound all that impressive, the 895kg dry weight of the Alfa Romeo 4C will make it sprint to 62mph in just 4.5 seconds, which is four-tenths quicker than a Porsche Cayman S equipped with the expensive PDK transmission! I dare to say that Jim you would be a great competitor between these two cars.! Looking forward to see the first real sketches of your car. BTW here is a nice video of the construction: http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/289849/alfa_romeo_4c_tech_rundown_and_video.html Best
Thanks for posting that link, very interesting! It also leads to the conclusion that the tub was designed to serve on other projects, which bodes well for P33 plans. The C4 looks like a great car too, and I also believe that what is shown in the video is the future of automobile construction/assembly. I hope Alfa ordered some more autoclaves! Best, Jack.
They are strong but brittle. As an aside, I was racing on a carbon tubular ( racing bike - yes, Colnago) and hit a pot hole at about 30mph. Rim broke right where I hit but stayed intact enough for me to get home on it. No neutral vehicle nearby so the race was blown.
Sounds like a great engine. Are you going to seek official factory blessing for the project with associated Maserati branding? It would be great to see the Trident racing at Le Mans...
We have begun engineering, aero and design. Our Project is now called SCG 003 and SCG 003C. We will build a road and a race version. Our new web site will have high res. photo's. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus
Jim, pardon my ignorance if I may have missed the answer to this before, but I was thinking about comments on MotorAuthority. I don't imagine that the SCG badge/moniker is purely a vanity item, you have pretty much established yourself as immortal in the Ferrari community. Is this because there are no real works cars anymore like the 333SP and you pretty much have to go it on your own? Ferrari saying "here is a faster this or that", and not "here is a race car"?

Basically my experience with P 4/5 C where we designed and engineered a huge amount of the car was something that I really enjoyed and want to keep doing. Also Ferrari no longer makes Prototype race cars so that's not an option.
