Not a repost..So you spent the past 48 hours going through the thread to be sure?
Mmmhmm..., I stopped to admire many of my contributions...... The Genie ?--- Jackie Stewart racer and the Identify the Car last page had me bugged. ....
Kohlmus Scirocco! (Thanks for the hint.) OK. This was snapped in my neighborhood. No points for the brand name. I'm looking for coachbuilder. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excellent, and quick. (I thought this car was gorgeous.) And, so, it's your turn! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dutch Darrin was an American original. It may take a while for me to access a new one. If anyone else has something sooner feel free to post it.
I think I know that one, but not the car. The Schlumpf collection in Mulhouse. I haven't been there in 20 years, but those light fixtures give it away. Matt
You mean the Parisian Street lamps? (Extra points if you can name the bridge) The collection has always been fabulous (in more than one way) but they seem to be dedicated to turning it into a museum of the modern idiom as opposed to the gilded warehouse it used to be. Belongs on every car fan's bucket list.
I can't name the bridge... GTB is under Art & Architecture. I have always wondered whether or not there would be much of a change in Bugatti prices if that collection were sold. It would seem like it would significantly boost the supply of cars by a large percentage. Definitely a must-see.
When they looked to buy the Shakespeare collection out of the US attempts were made to find alternate buyers to prevent the cars from disappearing into the Black Hole of Mulhouse. No takers were found. Times and markets change.
I am new to the thread and this may be a repost and may be easy but I just love this car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
An amazing car. I was lucky enough to see one (of three?) a few years back. Too bad it wasn't enough to save the company.
Great job! It sold last year for $2.2 Mil. It was the first public auction of one since 1973 Great car! Image Unavailable, Please Login
