I have a 355 which has had a small wiring fire in the loom underneath the throttle linkage, I have removed the expansion bottle and throttle assembly and found the wiring to the temperature sensors etc had burned away, I have cut the wires back to where they were good and replaced them all with like amperage wires soldered in and sealed with heat shrink, But my problem is that the loom going over the top of the engine has 6 wires and the further most forward temperature sensor has 2 and the remaining loom disappears down the front of the engine containing only 3 wires so there's only 5 wires to connect to...
The remaining wire is Green with a Black tracer and I am assuming it must have joined one of the others before the fire.
The wiring diagram is unclear as it doesn't show the proximity of joints in the wiring...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards Roy

A picture would be quite helpful.

I could take a picture if you would think it helpful, but it would only show a green wire with a black tracer heading off under the throttle linkages of the engine on the left hand side as viewed from behind, I downloaded the 3 workshop manuals and it shows green black wire as "VN" and the only ones coming off the left and right injection system go to 30033 then to the rear engine connector 41019 then to 02005, which is the Air Con Magnet...

I'm thinking I've lost the other end of the AC wiring,,perhaps it's fallen down the front of the engine when the wire became disconnected, although i don't know what 30033 is, it seems to fall into 30000-30066 cable multiplication. ??? there's also an engine management light on, I wonder if it can even see an air con magnet wire ???

I think you found your answer. VN is Verde Nero, which is Green Black.
The AC is on the left hand side (driver, US model) and is controlled by a single wire to a 1-pin connector to the AC Compressor. The wire snakes over the timing belt cover and drops on to the AC compressor. The ground is the compressor body itself.
