    Hi,

I friend of mine bought a 1996 F355 without any remote control for the alarm/immobilizer.
The car is at the shop and cannot be started or moved.
He only has the keys to the car.
Is there any way to start the car without the immobilizer control ?
Does anyone have a used remote control that he can buy to reprogram to use on his car ?

    Thanks !

    He is screwed.

Without the remote, the immobilizer cannot be disabled and the car will not fire. If he as the PIN code, he can manually start the car with the key after turning the key on/off in a PIN sequence. That would be a pain. No other remotes can be used, or programed to work.

THe only solution now is to buy a new alarm ECU, witth new PIN, and three new remotes from the dealer. Cost is $2000.

    Good luck.

Or, he can purchase the PIN ($350) and a new set of FOB's ($610.00). The problem is this takes a while - I'm still waiting for mine after a few months.

You got a good price on the pin. I was quoted $605 from two dealers. My three fobs were about $575, and then programing. What a rip.
