Twin disk clutch installed height problem

I am replacing my clutch disks in a twin disk system and have run into a problem with the installed height being too short. The manual specs it at 47 - 51 mm and I have definitely less than 45 mm and probably around 43 mm (it's a very hard measurement to actually get).

The reason for the shortness is the new disks are 7.87 mm and supposed to be 7.25 mm. This has the effect of flattening out the pressure plate fingers too far and now they are so flat the release bearing doesn't even go far enough to release the clutch. I have the shims (0.76 mm) that came in the original setup installed.

So my question is: Is there a source for these shims anywhere or some other thing I could use (besides washers) to shim it? Or some other solution?

This would be a great solution if the "vendor" wasn't a guy from England who was getting rid of his unused new parts 8 months ago. So I own them and that's pretty much that. I need like 1 mm maybe 2 mm at best to get the fingers in the proper position.
