Robert, The silver Countach is (quite obviously) a kit car. I don't think you'll be interested in the chassis number. Best,
This is what I know about the rest: Red LP400 number plate 400LP is the same car as KLK234 Yellow LP400 1120122, my former car Black/Red QV1985, also my former car, originally white now yellow. Black/Black QV , also previously owned by me now in Adelaide. Red/Black QV LP50QV was the motor magazine car originally with red wheels Blue/Blue Fosters QV now red/Black I think Chassis GLA12031 Yellow/white 5000S with side Skirt ex Hong Kong Black 5000S originally Green then red also ex Hong Kong Green S2 now Black. When I dig up the Chassis numbers on my former QV's I'll pm you. Cheers James
LP 400 s In Canberra Australia. Hasnt been on the road for approx 15 years. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Next time you are in Canberra let me know and ill arrange a viewing. Its a friend of mine. I heard but not sure if its correct, That it was originally green.
If it was green maybe it's this one - same colour inside and different to AVQ400 (which I thought it was) - also similar high stance at the front! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Mark J is reluctant to share info he has, which is fair enough. The yellow Countach Anniversary has red piping on the seats, which gives away that it was red originally. Kevin and Joe on the Anniv thread have identified it as KLA12485, which I have as a UK RHD car in red with mag and red piping, which all connects together. From what you said, sounds likeit went from UK to HOng Kong then to Australia, going from red to yellow at some point in the process! Thanks for this. More to follow in a sec...
James Absolutely brilliant, thanks. This has really helped with lots of pieces of the jigsaw. The colours and specs seem to change a lot, as do the registrations in Australia as well as in the UK. There are a lot of cars over there. How many Countachs have you owned in total? Hope all is well. Robert
Why would he be reluctant to share? Surely its not information which is proprietary or that which he makes a living from? Even then, we are able to share. In the Lamborghini community, sharing is what advances and enhances the marque and the classic cars we all love.
Looking back at my emails: I asked him about two cars. He sent me a link to the detailed description of one car and said he knew of the other, then said this is all he has. I asked if he had the VINs and he didn't reply. Bearing in mind I am a complete stranger, fair enough and I left it at that. One of the cars I asked him about someone else sent me the VIN of, and the other one I don't know the VIN yet, but it's a well known car that won't get mixed up with others, and I'm sure will get identified at some point. I'm finding that people are amazingly helpful with info, but I don't want to push people too hard, particularly those who make a living in this game (when this is not my living whatsoever), and I'm finding that often my questions get circulated and the answers come back to me from the most unexpected places....
Also he was at the 50th with his recently restored Verde Miura S so not sure if he's had time. Usually he is very generous with time and info. I know most of the Countach owners here personally - i'll make some discreet inquiries and with their permission provide chassis no. by pm. Cheers. James

Well, I wonder how any person could drive an exotic either in Cyprus or in Greece... At the current time, it certainly would not be the smartest not the most sensible thing to do over there..
