    I laughed..... Thanks-)

I've begun to think that they are playing a recording of Seb through team radio after every victory. Sounds the same to me everytime.

This is a huge load of crap and you know it.

If the Red Bull cars were so much faster and superior in every way like you are trying to say, why hasn't Webber who was considered a pretty good driver not been able to come close to the things Seb has done in that car? Also the Ferraris that Alonso has had to drive are FAR from being slow and inferior as you would like it make it seem. The matter of fact is just that Seb really is that amazing standout driver. The absolute hatred you have for him clearly shines through with all of the statements you've made here, its just absurd.

New gimmick? Tsk, tsk, that's not new, it's recycling suggestions Max Mosley made nearly 10 years ago!

Whatever happens, vettel has had a dominant car for his titles, and thinking back to Michaels dominant ferraris, the criticism will always be that he isn't that great, just a bit more supported than webber and anyone in his circumstances could be expected to win. Rubens was treated similarly to webber, they let him win when it suited Ferrari, and not otherwise, just like RB.

If you look at Alonso, and previous greats like senna and schum, they have all won against the odds, dragging the second or third best machinery to win when no one else could. They consistently out perform the perception of the max of their equipment..... The is no doubt Alonso has a special edge over many other drivers just like senna or schumi did , whether he is as good as them is pretty much open to interpretation and some will agree, some wont.

Vettel has yet to truly battle over and above the potential of the car, the RB is so good in most situations that much like the 92 Williams, or the 2002 Ferrari, you almost feel that you could pull him over for lap, make him wait, and the car is quick enough to catch up by the end and give him a chance. He does make daft decisions sometimes, he does drive pretty arrogantly and dangerously at times (which both schumi and senna did too), but he is of course fast just like a Rosberg or any the driver - the car is a massive part.

The acid test would be the year when the Ferrari, or the MB, is clearly the quickest car, and is able to consistently lap in qualy and race trim at a second a lap fast than the RBs. If he then continues to drag the car against the odds through to wins, splitting the best cars, employing strange yet winning strategies, and being in the championship til the very end, then he reaches the level of Alonso in the minds of everyone. He hasn't done it yet, so Alonso commands the respect of most on the grid as the best driver because he HAS done exactly that

To me Seb is clearly better than Alonso...for one i believe he is faster in a single lap...i mean, the guy wraps poles like crazy...and Webber as always been a very fast driver in qualy so it´s not just the car. Secondly he is the best driver in the rain out there...by a big margin....it´s true he has had great cars..but he won in Monza in a toro rosso...and that´s not for everyone. Alonso is good but he is far, far away from the likes of Shumacher, prost or senna

We've all said this over & over, most if not all, have given up trying to convince seb fanboys who would say otherwise.

Personally, given the available seats, or lack thereof, Seb made the logical albeit conservative choice of staying at RB

The reason the guy has his backside parked in the best car on the grid is because he's an awesome driver.

I know MS always beat him in the Race of Champions, but other than that I think he's more than proven himself. :)

He pulls a fast lap out of his arse like only he and Lewis can do when it really counts, and well controlled racing most of the time.

Remember, Toro Rosso had won nothing until him, and Red Bull hadn't done much better.

Underestimate him at your own peril.

We're only just finding out how ruthless he is too.

He's got everything all the greats have had IMO.

+1 big time. FA and others have been in the sport longer and accomplished less. Vettel has the stats and skills. Credit where its due. He is doing what a driver should do in a good car- Win!

He very potentially does have the whole package, but let me see it in a non-Newey rediculously good car. Put it to the test Seb. Wrestle a #2 or #3 car like the greats had to and STILL win a WDC.

Yes...I understand what you're saying, but he's sort of done that in the TR and RB BEFORE they were giant killers.

Regardless, he'll probably never have to do that again. He'll always be able to pick and choose the best of the best.

One race isn't the same as taking the championship to the wire in a far inferior car.

Bah, minimal success with a Toro Rosso and some success with RB5 once it had a DDD isn't exactly what Alonso has done for years now, or what Schumacher did for years in clearly #2 or #3 cars, yet coming within a breath of winning a WDC.

    +1

think about how many championships Schu and Alonso *almost* won, when in the physical universe we occupy even considering such success is ludicrous in such cars. They weren't as bad as a Toro Rosso, but they certainly weren't by any stretch top cars on the field at any occasion.

MS in the 1998 Ferrari was unreal. The McLaren was so far ahead of any car yet he took that title to the last race where some bad luck struck with the tire failure...

1997 was equally impressive against the all-powerful Williams.
