Hey Quebec Brotherin! I am finally back living in Montreal after a year spent studying in the US. Look forward to contributing to this thread again and joining some meets this summer
Mario, Steph takes the most amazing pics. In fact, three of his pics of me hang on the walls in my home. My favorite is the one he snapped of me returning from Tremblant back in 2007 (or was it 2009?) Boh? EDIT: Ok...I just saw his copyright....it was 2007. Sorry folks, my spicy fumes are f**king up my memory. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Went to the new bentley Flying spur unveiling party on Wednesday night. The parking lot was a carshow within self. Highlights including the grey F12 Berlinetta, red 599 GTO, 458 spider, 2 grey DBS's. red 599 GTB and many more bentleys and astons. Down the road from the event on Notre dame was a silver 458 spider with black roof parked next to a 997 GT3 RS in white pictures: We Attended The Launch Of The All New Bentley Flying Spur And It Was Glorious | MTL Blog
And to think I was invited to this shindig and didn't go... The eye candy alone would have been worth the trip.
Shortly after the Canadian Grand Prix, I received an e-mail from a fellow club member out of Toronto, who got a request from a friend of his in Montreal, asking if we could offer a ride to this friends son-in-law who was battling terminal cancer. After a few quick e-mails to my club regulars, and a break in the weather, we showed up with 5 Ferraris at this young mans home. This was organized with the complicity of his father-in-law and the entire neighborhood. The young man had no idea that we were coming. It was a total surprise. Needless to say, he was overjoyed and had an absolute blast. Not only did he get to ride in the cars, he also got to drive a few of them. We even offered rides to his family and friends. Regardless of the inevitable, he thanked us for boosting his morale. It was a very sobering afternoon. My drive back home was very quiet and contemplative. It was very painful to watch I seen it happen and it wasn't his fault either. I think the other driver had the red mist sort of speak since they were not even competing in the same class.
Ok so we're 48 hours away from the BIG Montreal Italian car show!!!! I am posting this as my wife is having contractions next to me and I should be a dad again in a few hours....which probably makes me a bad husband but hopefully a great italian car guy. With all this going on, I will still be there and, hopefully, so will most of you with your beautiful cars!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, there's a bunch of us going. Are you going to? The meeting point will be at the Presse Café at Marché Central in Montreal (corner 40 and 15) at 8:30AM. We plan to leave at 9AM and get the highway 15 to reach the second meeting point in St-Eustache (point B, at Loblaws in St-Eustache on road 148 ) for those who don’t want to come in Montreal.
