Thanks Patrick...sorry I didn't meet you at the show...great photo.
Best design of any road-going Ferrari ever, IMHO; absolutely flawless lines from every perspective and viewpoint. 2d place: 365GTB4 Daytona berlinetta
This 456 is really growing on me. Wife loves it too and has declared the car as her own..... Fine. Still going to change out the wheels and have decided (for sure) on the 575M wheels. Have not decided on the tires yet and have read much about the selections on this forum. DJ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, Moe. A local Seattle car and from FoS. F-1, CF interior package, color matched stitching, brake up-grade from the factory, etc... Guys @ FoS tell me the car is kind of rare due to all the options that were originally ordered. OEM exhaust, but still, I love the sound and how the car drives. Had this one for about 9 years now. DJ
I've wanted a 355 GTS for years-- Yours is def one of the nicest I've seen I didn't know they did carbon fiber back then, & can you please tell me about the brake upgrade- What is the upgrade?
The picture below has the list of options on the car. All factory save for the audio and floor mats. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here you go Moe.... Others to follow. Can not seem to up load more than one picture at a time from iPad. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Back to the thread topic..... And the 456 brings some class to it's current stable mates: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a '67 triple black vette convertible 427/435 with red hoodstripe- Apparently we think alike!! Along w/my 456, 612 & 512BBi I love the interior of your 355- I didn't even recognize that the factory was offering carbon fiber back in the late '90's. The stitching and carpets really complete a very nice car Beautiful Car- Thanks for showing off As a digression- What is worth more or more desirable on those late 90's cars w/early F1 trannies- The F1 or the stick???
Thanks again, Moe. I'm beginning to get more in-tune with the 12 cylinder cars. So much fun to have alternatives and plan for the "next one." Think if one could find a 355GTS with the options of my car save for the F-1, that would be the hot ticket. Should the F-1 fail, it will be a bit costly to fix, but then, if it is worth having, it is worth fixing correctly..... Like you, I too have a Big Block mid-year Vette. '65 coupe, 396/425, Rally Red with two tone white leather interior. Side pipes, KO's, PW, Teak, Tele, CC group, etc. NCRS Top Flight. Best, DJ
That is most definitely an aftermarket behavior - not sure if it's just vinyl or cloisonette, but it's not something ever offered by the factory. Do you know the origin of the image? Did you photograph it yourself? If so, can you tell me where and when? It's an automatic; looks like it's been in California its whole life.
True True and not many cars were adorned w/them There's a manual trans car w/daytonas & shields are Naples Motorsport in FL right now with an ask price of $90k This is a rare combo & very desirable- I say manual cars are hard to come by and worth more, but $90k remains to be seen...esp. when they priced the same car at 83k only a month prior and I thought that was pushing the envelope. I read a few months back that manual 456's were on the move- if this is so- someone chime in... or maybe it's a subject for another thread
