Nope, those rock apes are English. My old F50 spent it's life in Germany and then Paris before coming to Oz. Said rock apes also owned the white Miura SV that burned to the ground in London earlier this year.
Thanks; but I think it's an incurable disease At least I got my money back on that one. The rest Actually, I spent $100k on bringing the 355 Challenge back to life and managed to recoup that as well The rest though, definitely
I know; but with only 30 odd yellow F50's around I thought it best I clear it up before the current owner is told his car is a star on youtube.
The Enzo (and Phantom) ones were pretty harmless; but the F50 one was like fingernails on a blackboard to anyone with a shred of mechanical sympathy in them.
I didn't think cars were investments but you seem to do all right , I've never made any money on any car, lost $150k on my 7 series, $75k on my 5 series and $25k on my 3 series
Far from it unfortunately. I've done ok on 2 Ferraris; but lost many multiples of that on the rest. I've lost more than your 3 BMW's on the Scuderia alone Lets not even mention the Michelotto *shudder*
those 250GTO endured worst back in the 60/70s in lemans surely! oh wait, they are pensioners now, just leave them at home, have a walk occasionally just out of curiosity SD, if back then you could legally register your F50, would you had ever sold it?
I actually made a good margin on the 328GTB (WHO SAID IT COULDN"T BE DONE).....but the rest were not good! Not a single regret though.. Oh...I just remembered I made a 30% profit on my first blue 308GTB in two months too. oh....and the boxer. (overall I was a mile behind though) hmmmm
The good news out of all this gents is that you can't take any of that cash to the grave with you. I am looking forward to spending my kids inheritance on an F40.
well .................................................................................................................. yes but in my defense I must add, I've been married more than once
No, I would have kept it if I could drive it on the road anytime I felt like it. Mind you, if I still owned it now I would be listing it at a major European auction ASAP. The current market is uber hot and I'm tipping it can't be much longer before the music stops.
Not much I regret either. I've had great experiences in all my cars and in the end that's what makes life interesting , not your bank balance. You can always make more money; but you can't buy more time.
The only regret I'd have had is if I hadn't 'pulled the trigger' I can think of nothing worse than having the means, lusting, but not doing. Yet...so many people go through life without fulfilling their dreams for whatever personal insecurities they have...and I don't mean a lack of funds....that's not the same.
exactly why I bought the 355 now, stupid to put off things that can not be replicated when it's too late Like my signature says "there are no luggage racks on coffins"
You could have used the same logic to buy it 6mths ago You would have put 10,000 km's on it by now LOL Young Troy must be very excited !
