In this 2005 Pelican ad, the owner could not get any takers for his black '75 930, non-optioned air conditioning with sunroof for $20K ($22K with Fuchs). Some mods (door panels, center console, unleaded fuel only decal gauge, etc.), but nothing too difficult to take back to stock. It was 8 years ago. lol In retrospect, I was looking for my first turbo back in 07 and bought one of the "last 50" 79 turbos. That was upon the recommendation of my mechanic. At the same time, there was a nice white over lobster or can can 77 with 50k on it. I think that car was down to about $22k or so, but my mechanic told me I don't want a non-intercooled turbo. A year after that he sold his 79 turbo with 1500 original miles on it to a customer who uses it as his daily driver.
I would like to have a copy of this but I am new on this list and cannot figure out how to send a PM. If you scanned it you must have it in electronic form, you could just email it to me. My car is the one pictured in post number 1012. I took that picture and must have posted it online somewhere and Joe came across it.
Never mind, you can ignore my post in this thread. I don't know why the PM option did not show up before but it is there now and sent.
Umm... According to glasurit.com, #443/Z6 is Copper Brown Metallic for 1977. Its a beautiful color. They say #432 for 74/75 is Copper Bronze Metallic. Who the hell knows whats really right.
Hey got your pm and I replied. I'll send it out tomorrow..here's the paint options for '77, braunkuper diamant bottom right.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You are correct. I checked Red Book and it has 432 for 74-75 and 443 for 76-80. Both say Copper brown metallic.
The February 1975 issue of Christophorus featured an article on the 1974 Paris and London auto shows with photos of the new 911 Turbo. The 1975 Porsche European 911 Turbo brochure (15-19 - 1061.14) featured the same 930 that appeared in the silver foil U.S. 911 Turbo Carrera brochure. White or black Porsche decals were an option for 1975 911 Turbos and Road Scholars #242 was originally optioned with black Porsche script on the doors (see image of PCNA COA). The Porsche 930 in the brochure was likely an early preproduction model that was equipped with cross-drilled discs and Carrera RS 3.0 calipers with horizontal cooling fins. I received the PCNA COA and the transmission and engine numbers match the chassis number - 9305700160. It was delivered to Vasek Polak in California (more on that story later) with black leather interior with optional sunroof and Pirelli tires (long gone). I treated the leather and its in remarkable original condition for a 1975 and the next project is to get the Fuchs wheels back on the car. From the paperwork that came with the car, I was able to contact the original owner and he positively identified it from the plastic cap in the rear bumper where he originally mounted a CB antenna (breaker one-nine). He told me that two “new” 1975 930's (silver and black) were brought over by Vasek Polak in connection with the factory. The 930 was registered in Colorado from new which helps explain the lack of rust and fortunately this car was never modified with U.S. gray market additions. The passenger mirror was added to the car in the 1990’s (Porsche did not make a 1975 factory passenger mirror) but fortunately, the interior was not fitted with mirror power controls.

Hi Joe, Sorry for the late reply! We did that piece over a year ago and I honestly forgot about it until now! I've really tried to be as accommodating as possible to the many requests that come with this car so many can see it who otherwise would not. I recently completed a day of driving in the canyons of Malibu for a new, very in depth documentary on Steve's life that I hope will showcase the car even more? I think it's going to be a good piece and I hope for the best!!! Kindest Regards, Mike
