When it comes to F1 tranny.. each successive generation is better than the last. 458 is better than 430, is better than 360, is better than 355 F1.

It's all about the benjamins.. if you got the $$$, go for it.

I'd mostly agree, except that the gearbox in the 458 is technically completely different from that in the 430. A friend of mine owns a 2013 458 Spider and a 16M. He prefers the F1 gearbox in the 16M versus the DCT in the 458 Spider. That said, the 458 is still his preferred car, but the gearbox isn't perfect for him - he said it behaves a lot like an auto box.

To the OP, there's nothing wrong with upgrading, that's what happens to a lot of people. If you get a 360, though, you're probably still not gonna wanna drive it to work!!!!! :p

Why not ? mine is at work right now.

I was looking for a 328GTS and started thinking 355 and from there it was a short jump to the 360, never looked back I love it. The 328 is just not a comfortable car for 1,000 mile weekend trips and the 360 is. And while its my first non-manual car, I LOVE the F1.

I went from a 348 Spider to a 360 Spider and it was night and day. The 348 was a great car and very raw. The 360 was much more refined and the F1 transmission was super fun to drive. I would highly recommend you make the switch.

If you can somehow keep the 348 AND get the 360, do that. I miss my 348 at times!
