    The bidder who failed to pay was from France. The Ebay seller and the owner of the 1950 yearbook are Americans. The owner had recently purchased a second 1950 yearbook, in another Ebay transaction for $7200, and was looking to sell his first copy. I would suggest that the actual market clearing price for a 1950 yearbook in good condition is about $7200 presently...

    Indeed, Thanks! But I 'm afraid 7.200 $ for a 1950 is a little optimistic....I received mail from some serious sellers, with asking prices, minimum 10.000 one, the other asked 9.500 EURO.....Schluck!
    Both in good to very good condition. I didn't buy neither of them, just for information...
    But of course, sellers are in the strong position, we all know that there are only a few hundred samples that survived till today. On the other hand, no one is buying at those extreme prices....

    Here is the Ebay sale to which I refer. Make of it what you will. I have removed the seller's details to respect that individual's privacy.

    What is the going price?I know of one in Europe which, if still available, was priced at E 2000. I have originals for 1953,1954,1955,1956,1957.1958,,1959,1960,1961,1962,1963,1964,1965. As you can see 1962 would be a nice addition If any one would like to give me an estimale on the originals please do. Thanks tongascrew

    Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't see your post before. The differences are;
    1949 reprint is smaller than original
    1961, 63, 65, 66 - the originals have some colour pages but the reprints are all pages b/w.
    I haven't ever seen reprints of 1967 and 1968-70
    Hope this helps
    Nathan

    Actually, I "wonder" about something else - that you just "happen" to also be the seller for all of your eBay "finds".
