My car has a permanent Slow Down 1-4 light due to absence of cats. I have tried unplugging the CAT ECUs with no effect. When I got the car the ECUs were plugged into the car but there was nothing going into their 'input' connector, where the thermocouple would normally go. One thought in an earlier thread was to try to use a resistor and hack it into the CAT ECU but after some research it turns out the thermocouple is generating a voltage so the resistor may not work. Therefore I'm looking for a cheap alternative of any thermocouple to match this: Ferrari 157501: 157501 THERMOCOUPLE : Ricambi America My goal is to just leave it at room (engine bay) temperature and encase it into an epoxy block along with a connector -- this can then be used as a simple plug in to the CAT ECUs to generate 'some' voltage which would be lower than the alarm voltage that would be sent by the actual CAT thermocouple? Does this make sense or am I missing anything? Thank you.
