Lamborghini 350 GTV will be displayed at the Schloss Bensberg Classics, celebrating 50 years of Lamborghini:

Lamborghini celebrates its 50th birthday with a special exhibition at Schloss Bensberg Classics.
    Bensberg, June 2013
Besides the 350 GTV, the first ever Lamborghini, we can also expect the 400 GT Flying Star, a two-door sports estate from 1966, the Miura Roadster, which has already thrilled the general public and jury at the 2011 Concours d’Elégance, the Marzal, a prototype from 1967 with glass gull-wing doors and ultra-flat front end, and the Bravo, the ‘little brother’ of the Countach, which was unveiled in 1974, but never actually went into production

I exchanged several emails with owner and I was believing he is playing with my B... a kind of quizz without answering. With the details he gave me of the car, I've been able to identify its VIN, on which he agreed later. But he never confirmed me engine number and never displayed pics of it on EBay... in one of the mail he wrote his bottom price was 475.000 US$...

I wish the new owner has not paid that much, it is not worthing that amount in such shape !

I was able to discover 350 chassis #0364, complete with chassis tag.
Completely modified, but retaining #0358 engine.
    Cheers

Interesting that the seller is called "lmcexotic" but all his sales are 4 and low 5 figure used cars.

Did you speak with the owner or the ebay seller - or are they the same person?

I have had a dinner with a couple of old former Lamborghini workers.
One was involved in making the badges.
They claimed and all agreed, insisted, that NO car has left the factory (for delivery to a customer) with a blue or red/white or blue/white shield (badge).

Yes, the badges do exist, they have been on early cars for comparison reasons, but gold bull on black was chosen and on all delivered cars!

Again, claimed by 'the old guys' and 50 years is a long time ...

What bothers me the most is; what is THIS red/white badge doing on a pretty late (VIN 0196) car ? On one of the first cars it would make sense, but on the 88th ??
    (assuming only even VINS)

Please tell me where I go wrong, if I do :)

With which VIN did the switch from one piece bumpers to the split resign occur? Were most early cars redone with the two piece bumper? I have only seen the single bumper in old pictures, never in person or recent photos.

    Nice topic Jasper...

This is a clue I was willing to release in my book... you are right what does a 2 tone do on the 88th car when it was on one of the 1st cars...

Yes, the 2 guys you spoke too are old and for sure have forgotten what was done in the early early days... as this picture demonstrates it was on the car on the right side !

Look further, the extension of building of your Museum location is not yet build...

see you next week... I'm passing by Sant'Agata !

The badge doesn't look right on such a late VIN...

The car Olivier Shows in that known Picture were very early one with the single Chrome bumper.

    very nice picture, Olivier.
However I can not tell from the picture if these are all DELIVERED cars.
Seeing so many, at the factory it occurs to me that they are NOT YET delivered (to the customer) and therefore this image is consistent with the story of the old guys ... ??

See you next week, we can discuss it then ;)

being an early, one piece bumper car, that silver over red car could well be the brochure car ?
And in the brochure it looks to have a black badge ?

It is not black badge, because the size is too small, that badge is either red/white or blue/white, but I'm bidding on red/white...

hard to tell from this picture.. might just as well be reflection.
btw, it's a 400GT which would make it even harder to believe ;)
But on an event like this, many other pictures will have been shot of the car and/or the badge :)
So come on, someone, show me a clear picture of that badge !

I was there and I saw it. Maybe there is a source for the two tone badge?
