+1 Exactly what I was trying to say. Could add getting ****-faced and falling off a yacht in Monaco. Cheers, Ian
Where do I sign? There's a bit more to it of course. Like showing up. And answering stupid questions ad nauseum. Not Kimi's forte.
If Kimi were looking for an RB style commitment he would have made it when he returned. He's got his WDC and races because he enjoys it.
I fully believe that Kimi would fit in perfectly with RB. They would be the ones to adapt to his wishes in terms of PR, as posted before, stuff like the Gorilla jet ski races They already have Vettel for the usual marketing BS, Kimi could fill the other niche.
Considering it has always been crap, it's probably crap. They don't need to be though. Just need a new #2.
He just couldn't accept being a #2. If he had acknowledged the obvious after 3 years, he'd have been a team player and happier with himself. That has nothing to do with Seb; HE is the problem. And he was the first to disobey team orders anyway. Racers are always going to do that, but when you're 37 and obviously not #1 material, you either settle with yourself being a nice #2, or get the hell out. He chose the latter. And that's the choice most racers prefer (regardless of money issues), due to their personalities. Wish him the best.
+1 Same position Rubens was in at Ferrari. I never understand these guys: They're clearly not as good as the #1 driver, they get paid millions of $ for doing what they love and win races or podiums in the process yet they decide to go to the minor leagues. Each his own I guess.
I thought it was; "Just leave me alone, I know what I'm doing". As much as it would be fun to see who climbs to the top of the RBR team between Vettel and Kimster I would rather see Kimi pull up lotus and have another team fighting for the podium instead of 2 RBR's.
