I say Massa will "retire" next at the end of the year. What about Kimi? Maybe he's fed up at the end of the season? Button maybe?
Button's heart doesn't seem to be in it anymore. He usually makes comments about how he couldn't wait to get out of the car, etc. Granted he's driving a turd, but still.
I'd say Kimi has 2-3 years left. It's clear he's not as fast as he used to be, but he's still very quick and a smart driver.
Seriously? with Vettel as a team-mate that would be most interesting. The move to Porsche for Mark is one of the best things to happen - he will be part of an awesome team of drivers and the new LMP1 program for 2014. Massa would work well with AF Corse in the WEC IMO. Carol
Agreed. I consider myself a true F1 fan and I am having a real tough time with the level of nonsense this year.
I too am a fan but am reticent to admit it publicly. F1 is like the dotty old uncle that you still love but don't want to be seen in public with.
It would not surprise me one bit if he did. I do not dislike Massa one bit and he is integrated into the team so I only wish him well. Frankly speaking other than Kimi the team only has about three drivers to choose from, imo of course. The "Silly Season" no longer waits for the mid-way point as it has already started.
Apparently they involve a journo as I recently read a comment praising Massa for this season. I couldn't believe it.
I absolutely agree with that statement. And I'm sure Vettel has voiced or will voice his opinion. If Horner goes with KR, he'd not only disgruntle Vettel, but soon would have a driver cat fight in his hands. Webber is a lamb compared to Kimmi IMO. RB needs a solid driver that accepts being a #2. And the best chance for that is an 'emerging' driver, like the TR guys. Can't have it both ways. Kimmi is definitely more attractive, and would surely score more points... but the 'honeymoon' would last only a few weeks IMO. It'll be interesting to see what RB does.
From Pitpass last week; Seems the opening is there if Kimi wants it..... Cheers, Ian pitpass - Vettel: No problem with Raikkonen as teammate
Something tells me Maldonado may have a rough time finding a spot next year. He hasn't made a lot of friends in the paddock the last couple of years, what with crashing into everyone and all, and the current car certainly isn't giving him a chance to show off any driving prowess, coupled with his deep pocketed patron having passed on...
