Are you asking or telling us that it happens? Either way, it is possible but that doesn't mean that you don't have a problem. You would have to post codes and more information before anyone can give you any guesses at all.

I'm guessing what the OP means but yes, it is supposed to go out after just a minute or so. If it stays on, you have a problem. It could be as simple as not tightening the fuel cap enough to a bad oxygen sensor or worse. You need to get the codes read to find out. It's not uncommon to have a random misfire trigger this.

Im just asking if a 430 check engine light stays on after start up. If it does it should go after warm up?

As Need4Spd said, it is supposed to stay on for about a minute after starting. If it stays on longer then there is an issue. Could be minor or could be major.

Mine goes off immediately after the engine fires, let alone the 15 mins or so to heat up.

This one. I am not sure what the others are talking about staying on for a minute.

Same here. It is supposed to be on in position 2 "Check Okay", but goes away immediately after the car starts.

It should go out.. if it stays on when the cars runs then there is a problem.

Go to Autozone or get your OBD2 reader and plug it in. There should be no codes read or to reset. If some come up post them here.

I was rather imprecise. It's way less than a minute before it goes out.

Mine stays on for about 10 to 15 seconds after I start the engine, then it will go off.

On a 360, yes. On a 430 there is a check cycle that takes 10 or 15 seconds after starting. The light should go off after that cycle completes.

Yes, on a 360 the check engine light goes out immediately, on a 430, 612, ... it stays on for about 10-20 secs after the engine has started, but definitely not until engine has warmed up.
