    Hi all
I work for a track day company in the uk and currently have two 360"s with hydraulic lifter problems and after a lot of research still cannot find anyone with stock of these or a cross reference part number.
I know that they are the same as a 355 but that's as far as I can get, I did see a post on a forum of someone who claimed they know what other car they fitted but would not give any details.
    Please can someone help me.

What's the diameter of these lifters?

You might have luck shopping in the BMW bins. They have 31, 33 & IIRC 35mm hydraulic lifters in their cars.

    FWIW, the 550's are 33mm.

As an alternative, perhaps try to do a solid lifter conversion? You should be able to find lots of cars with solid lifters in the right diameter, and perhaps close to the right heights.

If all else fails, I believe Willy Tagliavini @ Supertech Performance has been known to manufacture small runs of custom lifters (solid, not hydraulic).

I don't know whether this is out-of-date or not, but Ricambi still shows them available currently (but, man they sure ain't cheap :() ---- might give them a call to confirm what they have listed here on their website.

It's amazing to me that these would be NLA ---- with all the 355s (@40 per) & 360s (@32 per) produced, the supplier must have had to make a crap load of these lifters. So, it's hard to imagine there are no spares left over somewhere ---- were these high replacement rate items over the years on these cars ?

Fatbillybob nailed it. Dave Helms/Scuderia Rampante is the man to talk to. Dave knows more about these lifters than he wants to know!
