Great Job Fab - I really do not regret jumping at the chance I had to buy this! BTW - you need the urethane "primer" to make the urethane windshield adhesive stick permanently - I don't know why the body shop did not tell you that.
You didn't great job getting the top to where it is now. The car looks great. Enjoy all your hrd work with your one of a kind top!
Did you try the urethane primer? The type you need actually etches into the surface and leaves a rubbery surface that the urethane sticks to - it sticks so well that you cannot ever remove it - you have to cut it off. Sort of related - 3M also makes a primer for double side tape - I made the mistake of using it once and it REALLY works.
Thanks Gus....I did not use the urethane primer. I was never instructed to do so by the manufacturer of the top nor my bodyshop. I cleaned the surface with "plastic-safe" primer and glued it. It held very good for a few weeks but then some areas began to give out. I touched up with Pl premium construction adhesive as well as a type of crazy glue and all is good now. your suggestion is good but if the roof ever needs a repaint or a glass needs to be changed I want to be able to remove it without damaging.
