The seller is correct. The window gap is an inherent problem with the 456. I have the same problem with my '01 456 and Mark from Spheremotorsports in Houston fixed the problem at a fairly cheap rate. Too bad this car is not located in Houston.
I thought this car was sold on eBay about a month ago since it was not re-listed and owner said must sell ?? (I live in Northern Maryland and am looking to buy one.) DF
I saw a 456 today that needs some work, could be had for $50k. Silver on gray, AUTOMATIC.Blew a coolant line under the intake so needs a pricey repair, but more than that needed an owner that will drive it. Car is sitting at Odds & Ends Detailing in Sterling, VA.
Captrick, are you still looking? I have a '95 456GT, 12000miles, Rosso Monza on tan, originally bought by Bob Peterson, owner of the Peterson Museum in LA.
If you're interested, I have a 2001 456, my personal car. No mods other than a set of OZ Wheels and Tubis, clean, looking to move it this summer, make room for something else on the way. If you're interested I can email you some pics, etc...... Goodluck with your search, it's an awesome beast out on the open road and it's a front engined Ferrari!! Whatever car you choose enjoy it and thank you for your service!!!
Here's another Los Angeles Craigslist ad, if you're still in the market. I noticed this has been for sale for a while. Ferrari 456 for trade/sale by owner Good hunting!
Man, you're not kidding. I love it. Not everyone will like the color, but I do. I even like that it's an automatic Yeah, I'm that guy. I don't drive a stick. Gives me a sad it's only been 9k miles since 1997. Love that 360, too. Nearly bought that exact car from them instead of the 612.
Been caught up in Kandahar, still looking some days more than others, I am getting ready to get out of here, in less than one month. I seen some really nice cars from everyone. I am settled on a 456. I got to say FC has been a great place to hear from other owners and SMEs.
I have a client looking for a Manual Transmission 456 M. Located in Connecticut. If yours is available and a manual transmission, can you send me some details? Michael (203) 417-6856
Sorry, mine is an Automatic...........TDF Blue/Tan, Shields, I never drive the thing anymore so I am sorry, but I agree, if you can't find the time to drive it, it needs a new home.
Hi Richard! Check out this one on ebay item #321168896205 - owned by (aviation?) artist Robert Taylor. Starting at $49,000............looks nice. I am not related to the seller. I have heard though that the 456M series are the ones to buy when looking at a 456 - Good luck! Terry Jones Ottawa, Canada
Welcome home. I searched and researched 456s for more than a year, but eventually bought a nearly perfect 89 Mondial T coupe. You get what you pay for so the really nice 456s with major service completed and no issues with interior leather etc. cost more than I wanted to spend. I also loved the lines of that car - one of the very best in my opinion. I previously owned a 412 5-spd and expect that the 456 would be similar in performance and practicality. The TR is a very different animal and is a successor to the 512bbi which I also owned in the distant past. For me the Mondial T was a good compromise and I am having fun with the car. Good luck - I hope my 2 cents helps. Bob
OK after Afghanistan and a surgery and lots of Physical Therapy I got out and found my car. I did not buy a 456 I found a nice 2002 360 Spyder Grigio Alloy light blue. Full service complete with Clutch and hill Thrust bearing installed. Nice car. Im a computer novice I do not know how to post a pic good car and good price.
Rookie mistake did not check the key and fob inventory until purchase was complete. Now reading the posts for cloning and blank keys.
