Just picked my Dino up after a service, got a clean bill of health, driven it a couple of times....but just driven it a few miles and it's sound more like a flat four than a V6!

Think one cylinder isn't firing properly......any thoughts? Will it self-cure if I rev it a little higher....or should I leave it well alone and call the garage? Help. Can check the spark plugs myself, leave it to rest and start it up again, but after that, not sure what else (as a non engineer) I can do.

    Thoughts?

Check obvious things like leads not come off etc, especially on the distributor. Sometimes when replacing the cap a ignition lead can work loose.

Check plugs and see which one isn't firing, fouled plug ( sooty, wet etc) is a good indication. If it is one cylinder then put a spare plug in the lead and touch it to earth, crank engine and see if you get a spark. Check the gap, this can be set too close (or wide)and produce no spark. Should be 0.40 - 0.50mm

    Loose wires etc.

After that unless you have in depth knowledge, ring the garage.

BTW - what did they do on the service?

Thanks for comments Tony. The only think they tweaked on the engine was the gap on a couple of spark plugs, so I guess it could be that. I'll find out for sure later this week.
