It's good to see that it was recovered without major damage.
PUNKS! I'm sure they were bragging to all their friends but too stupid to know what to do with the car. Was the car just "found" or are there any leads? Glad you got back. Hope the engine is okay. They are pretty tough. I'm a big fan of kill switches. Who knows who has a spare key.
Hey Eric, did you have a garage door opener in the car? I'm reminded of a trend that was happening in Arizona. Cars were taken for joyride and later towed to impound yards or body shops only for the owners to find out later the thieves had also made out with thier openers and registration (address). It was a bait and switch ordeal for folks
The car was found about 5 miles from where it was taken. A home owner called and said it was very out of place. They said it was there since Tuesday, so I'm guessing they drove it for an hour and dumped it. Some interior damage and missing a lug cover from one of the HRE wheels. I have an appointment with FoS to go over it and make repairs next week. Insurance has been very good to deal with so far. They said they would rather repair it than replace it!!!! I did not have a garage door opener or anything in the car, so that's good. Will travel with a Club and Hill shifter lock from now on....
Thank goodness. IF only you could have caught them doing it. Of course I always say this. One day I'm gonna catch the bastard messing with my car(s), hopefully they won't have a gun
Wow, Eric -- I only just read this. Glad you got it back in one piece ... I don't want to welcome you into the "Ferraris Gone Wild" club ...
Hey Joel, it's been a while.... Thanks. it was a stress to say the least, but still up at FoS being repaired. Hope to get it back next week....
