I did not want any loss of trunk space or any visible stuff with the install

    1) Amp under passenger seat, a lot of clearance no issue with seat movement
    2) back blinders and backup camera, very clean
    3) Escort controls in the ashtray, very clean integration. I don't smoke :)
    4) Escort display integrated into the dash screen
    5) Front radar and Laser Blinder
    6) DynAudio speaker integrated into existing location

Very clean, love how the escort controls were fit into the ashtray and intergrated wih the screen display. Is it necessary to remove front bumper for just the escort install? I'm waiting for my carbon fiber tunnel to come in and that may be a good time to do the escort install at same time.

Yes because the grill is fastened from the inside so there is no way to get back there otherwise.
FYI the integration to the screen is an add-on module from Mid-City Engineering.

Very clean installation. I have to disagree with removing the bumper. I have done over 20 of those cars and have never removed the front bumper.

It was their first Cali so perhaps they were trying to figure out how to work through it. I will give them your feedback, thanks.

Does your car have a different grill than other California?

Light bulb! Yes, it is the GTO grill, you can't even fit a finger through it. Now things makes sense. I will still pass it on to them so if they see the standard "egg carton" grill they may be able to work through the slots.

Makes sense now. All the ones I've done have had the standard grill. I love using the Blinders, they tuck away nicely under that rear lip.

Looks cool. I like it. Could you please post some pictures of the audio install if you have any?

I am a new owner of a F430 and have started looking into a similar install. Could you also give a ballpark estimate of an install like yours?

    Thanks.

Isn't the on/off switch on the side of the control unit? For the one escort I have that was istalled in my ashtray my installer wired a remote on/off switch inconspiculously under my steering wheel that can turn the unit off & on if I need to reboot.
    Did you have this issue?

Lucky guys....in Europe you go to jail for having them as you are "perverting the course of justice"!!!!

Well in America laser light is not under any FCC or other government controlled broadcast. The first time I passed a trap zone the cop looked at me and then at his laser gun and started shaking it thinking something was wrong :)

Here as well it isn't.... it's just that you are not allowed in ANY way to "pervert the course of justice" so not letting the cop "laser" you to check your speed is an offence ;-)

Cops here are not stupid and they know very quickly that if the gun didn't work it's most probably because of a laser jammer and they will stop you....
Various people have them installed as "garage openers" but it is a very fine line...
