    Hi everyone, could someone help me to find out the ampage size of battery for a 1986 328 GTS. Mine at the moment isn't holding charge and can not see what the ampage level on the battery fitted.

    There was a thread a couple of weeks ago in the 328 section for a UK owner - sorry can't recall the actual reply - isn't it size 34R or is that the 308 - Tayna's web selector will also tell you

    This is the battery i fitted to my 89 model and was supposed to be right for the 328.

    S4027 / 069 BOSCH SILVER Car Battery 12V 70Ah
    S4 Bosch Blue Batteries

    Bosch S5 007 in mine.

    74AH & a CCA of 750A (cold cranking amps)

    With batteries its the CCA figure that you're really interested in - the higher the better

    Halfords Calcium batteries are supposed to be good too - just make sure you get one with the terminals the right way around.
