So I was driving downtown coming up to the light and caught a glimpse of this guy in this bright red.. f#$^ing amazing sports car bouncing from window to window in the windows reflection and thought "Wow! Just wow!"

I know women do it. I see them all the time checking their makeup in a passing mirror on the wall. Normally I'm focused on the experience and the drive and I know I'm a narcissitic maniac at times.. :)

But am I the only one that does this?

Totally; but usually checking out the passenger or the 430. I never get to see it driving around. Everyone else gets the "good view", all I see is yet another Lexus GS whatever, and Ford F150s (they must give them away as door prizes somewhere).

Absolutely! The car is looks amazing on the road and it's not often you get to see your car except when it's parked.

I have let my friends drive my cars up and down the street just so I can see and hear the car.

Do this all the time, but am really checking out the car, not myself....I swear!!
I rarely let anyone else drive my car, but when I have, I am amazed at how good it looks sounds. The sound in particular is totally different from what is experienced in the cabin.

I do it, regardless of which car I'm driving. Basically, I just like seeing my own cars.

Did that once in the minivan with a car full of kids screaming and laughing. It was a true minivan moment but I still looked good.

Well, I've noticed that woman-folk in my town don't know what a Ferrari is, and so they don't look... It's their blokes that notice..... and that's NOT the attention I was hoping for!!

How else are you going to see your car on the move? These things look great on the road.

We have a group of 'car-parazzi' kids out here and when they take videos, I love to see the car on the move.

I am a muscle car guy but will be f-car guy soon too
I have a couple of trusted friends and we often cruise together drivin each others cars
Its amazing to see how cool your car looks moving around and getting the viewpoint of the car spotters
I was close to selling my 67 Camaro, but I saw it with my friend driving and heard the blower whine from outside! Fell in love all over again
Shopfront windows are great but you have to try swapping cars with a mate.

Between this thread, the "emotional connection" thread, and actually hearing about grown men naming their cars, all I can say is Wow..... What an interesting freak show. It's just a car. Can't wait for the next "I need vanity plate ideas" thread to pop up. My shrink girlfriend and her colleagues can't stop laughing......

yes i have seen my self mirroring on stores screen. Love it. The worst problem with these cars is that they look and sound better from outside than inside
