iphone compatibility - caller id not showing

Mine doesn't either. i did ask the forum earlier, but no answers were forthcoming!

I don't remember mine having any problems on either 458 I had.

Freakin' Apple changes it's stuff all the time. I'm so fed up. My Ipad crashes on their own Itunes store after their last "update".

Ridiculous.

 

When it comes to Audio and electronic peripheral integration ferrari is lacking big time, I'm pretty comfortable saying they downright suck.

If the incoming call is a number in your contacts it defintely shows up. I havent gotten any calls yet from anyone not in my contacts

 

Mine doesnt, not even as the correct number, just a random selection of digits and letters, so i cant even recognise a well known number, i have to look at the front of the actual phone to see the caller. So annoying!!

 

I have the apple 5 and a 2014 458 Spider...I have over 1000 contacts and my call display works every time. I am glad it does for I normally don't answer calls from people I don't know, too busy enjoying life.

 

My iPhone 5 contacts and 2011 model 458 syncs up perfectly and displays without issue, I'm glad to say! I'm told it has had all the latest software upgrades.........

My Galaxy S4 doesn't show the contact name either, just the phone number. - 2012 458

 

I have same problem and contacts does not show either. It's just blank. Will try to ask dealer for software upgrade..

Can you give me a little more info on what software update your dealer carried out for you and the version please ?

Try to erase your phone from the list and connect as new device and do it all over again. You need to allow access to the phone's phonebook etc.

Needless to say that it seems to be an Apple-issue. Zero problems with Android-phone

 

Thanks ... so my next obvious question is ... can you supply me with the "Enough Information" that you have so that I can prove to the dealership that it should work, so that I too can get it fixed ;o)

Bob, It's called built in obsolescence. Hardware that eventually cannot support new software helps support future sales.

 

When the car and phone are paired, go to the bluetooth setting on the phone and see if it will allow you to share specific contact lists. Some bluetooth implementations allow this.

I've not had any problems with iPhone and 458.

 

my 2010 California doesn't show the name of the caller either... I've deleted the pairing and repaired it... and the same... there is a bunch of random numbers on top and the phone number displayed below it... The little phone book icon has a red check beside it...

Does anyone know how to display contacts on a list to select? When I push Telephone button on the side, it makes you go through voice assistance... which is so annoying...

 

I would just be thankful it even works to connect your phone in the first place. It’s a Ferrari.
