    Interesting.

I know OMEA nose badges are OEM on Dinos and so the notion of OMEA fobs, while new to me, seems plausible.

The gentleman I know who picked up his "L" series Dino new at the factory in June of 1970 got an ICOR key fob with it. Three years later, while at the Canadian Grand Prix, the factory was giving out ICOR Dino key fobs as VIP gifts (his is still in the wrapper).

In the end, things which are old but not necessarily original equipment become collectible in their own right as you noted. All items are worth what collectors are willing to pay for them. However, until original owners or long time dealers can verify what came with Dinos in the day, the non-ICOR fobs, while rare and perhaps even period, shouldn't be considered OEM. Lastly, Dino fobs while small, are never stupid! :)

I've supplied a verifiable data point for the ICOR fob. If there are original owners or long time dealers who can shed more light on this, you've got a captive audience here on Fchat.

Some how I almost missed this thread - I guess I am too busy at work. I would like to clean out my garage so I have Dino t-shirts (L/XL) in black with the yellow Dino script, Dino tire valve caps, Neiman ignition keys (repro), Dino paper weights, the ICOR / OMEA fobs. Just email me for details. Satisfaction is always guaranteed. Andrew

What price range do you feel original Dino key fobs in used condition cost?
    Serious question.

Well well. I did not have a clue about the value of original key fobs, and reading this thread I thought my key fob looks like that. After getting my keys out of the draw hey presto its an original. Its a bit battered having been used full time for 40 years.
I have now taken the keys off it and have put it with my original books and wallet.
Its a shame not to use it but I would now be major pissed off if I lost my keys. I also note that my ignition key is an original, with the number on it etc. I think I will get a copy for everyday use now as well.
    Thanks for the heads up.

My car is very original, still with 100% original interior, the wheels are still with factory original paint, and only one owner for the first 39 years !

    Well, they aren't worth much...

Might as well throw them out.

Still for sale, but at the eBay auction price, I will keep it...

    Try and find another

    Ed,

The reserve price wasn't far off.... I really wasn't wanting to sell it, so I set the reserve high. With so much "INTEREST", I figured I would throw it out for bid.

For those thinking they are going to find a deal..... well, I hate to inform you, you aren't.

I posted an ad in FML in early 2001 for a key fob and finally found one in summer 2003. I have paid ridiculous amounts for them in the past, and would do so today based on condition. The simple fact is these rarely come up for sale and when they do, be prepared.

I remember the days when Dino jacks went for around $500, they days have since past....

I'm looking for a fob for my '72 Dino - a reproduction in the correct style will be fine as the originals now seem too expensive to actually use.
    Can anybody help?

I can tell you which is an original vintage Ferrari Key Fob, (I did notice the ancient date on the post)
but nevertheless I am about to sell on Ebay an OMEA Ferrari Original Key Fob (and clear up the confusion for original)
Luigi Chinetti Sr. gave me this back in the late 60s early 1970. He gave me the key fob, a Ferrari Ceramiche Piemme Tile, which is currently for sale on Ebay
Today May 4, 2018, and an early HOWARD Ferrari lighter. I am going to list the Key Fob and Lighter after all these years.
My father David Tunick and I were close to Mr. Chinetti for many years. He always wanted my father's second oldest Lancia in the world,
THESE are the Fobs he handed out for some in the Greenwich Store.

    Thanks, Stephen M. Tunick

Where is a good place to buy a good copy now? I Googled, and there doesn’t appear to any available from Superformance and similar companies. I’ve messaged Andrew Marton as well, but have received no reply. Many thanks,

    ok, here's my question.

I am 90% sure this is a reproduction, but perhaps the clasp portion is original, as I used all of these interchangeably over the years.

Any input from you FOB gurus??
