About to pull the trigger on a Capristo Level 3 Race exhaust. After listening to countless videos I can't help but love the distinguished sound of a true level 3.

Any reason why not to go with a Race? Anyone can confirm if there is an annoying drone besides the beautiful exhaust note?

Headers are on the way as well :) Cats will stay in.

Awesome! That's what I figured ;) Stealth mode out the door and all fingers pointing at me? Sounds doable. Thanks for the positive input!

Quick question Mark, is it substantially louder than a stock exhaust with valves always open at say idle to 2,000 rpm? Don't want to drive my neighbors crazy if possible :)

at start up... in garage... its loud.

    significantly?? no.. not really

if you every had your exhaust valves set to opened at low RPM.. its about the same.

I think the huge increase comes when you de-cat it with this exhaust... but that was not an option for me...

Hotsauce, good call ;) Silly me, what was I thinking a Ferrari being stealth?!?!

Mark, thanks for that valuable input. Sounds like what I suspected, loud start up and similar to an open stock exhaust.

Kevin, definitely! I do not believe we have met yet here in HNL :)

    Gil....

not sure if the install is the same on 430 as it was on my CS... but just an FYI. when they install the canister (muffler), make sure you have plenty of clearance between canister and rear deck lid latch!!

when these things get hot... they expand!! so if you only have 1/4" clearance... it will expand and start rubbing on rear decklid latch assembly! causing a vibration thru out he whole car!! just very annoying!!

on mine they had trim the lower exhaust pipe that goes close to he O2 sensors.... the weld on the O2 sensors didn't allow the "pipe" to slide on far enuff...causing the lack of clearance and the rear canister..

again...may or may not be a 430 issue... just a heads up to save you some grief!!

    good luck and enjoy!!

Mark, more great info! Thanks again. I'll be sure to keep an eye on all clearance aspects including the hatch. Really looking forward to the upgrade.

Have it in my 360, the best sounding exhaust IMO!
Mine is a bit louder as my 360 is a euro and I do not have pre cats.

I'm always having people pull up to me to say how awesome the exhaust sounds. Had a guy follow me for a few miles in a brand new M3, when we got to the light he pulled up and said "I missed my turn a few streets back just so I could hear the exhaust"

    GO FOR IT!!!
