I have decided to sell my 2002 silver/ black three pedal it has only 14k miles with all the updates / fresh major by dealer and zero miles on new tubis .. its perfect what is a good selling price? i see a lot of disparity when i look on line
Depends on options. Many of the three pedal cars had limited options and buyers want it all. What updates?
they did come basic,, it has racing seats but i have to say they are nice esp without the 4 pt belt. updates meaning all the minor things done and also major service new tires brand ne tubis all by dealer just a nice car for someone looking for a 5 5p stick i think ill just trade it ,, i do want to get another car pref an SA i want another open air car
can you post some photos ? I agree there is a big spread between the bid and offer on these cars, especially the good ones !I am in the market for a grigio or silver prefer F1 but would like to hear more about your stick shift. We can all see the prices at dealers and ebay but from what I can make out, after dealer commissions (or negotiations outside of ebay ) cars are changing hands for $80-$85k. This would be for 2002 2003 14,000 15,000 miles without stories. This is my opinion , but as I said I am trying to buy ! I would also be interested in other's view.
outside of the HGTC owned (later sold) by the guy terry knows from AZ?.... why are all these gated cars virtually NO OPTIONS ? (this thread car was for sale at FoFL last year. outside of race seats looked like a stripper... the silver formerly straightline auto car now for sale in CAD... the red car up for sale in the northeast (huntridge motors ?).....)
Purely a guess, but I suspect that since the F1 was like a $10k option IIRC, people who got that likely also got other options. On the other hand, people who stayed with the standard three-pedal car possible did so out of cost considerations and hence also did not get a lot of other options. Funny how today the three-pedal cars command a premium vs. when they were brand new.
why are all these gated cars virtually NO OPTIONS ? My 2004 575M manual is loaded with Fiorano hp, 19inch wheels, Daytona seats and full leather head liner and luggage shelf. They are more expensive because they are far rarer than an F1 and IMO a much better experience.
See what the trade in value is at your dealer and add what you think you can get? Can't lose if you're already willing to trade it.
Willy- A very large portion of the LHD three pedal cars I have seen have fewer options than the average F1 car. Yours is a RHD UK car and the UK market had ~27% three pedal cars vs ~10% for LHD 575Ms. None of the D spec Austalian cars had three pedals. So there are better odds of finding a well optioned 3 pedal RHD UK car than a LHD one. Incidentally, leather headliner is standard. There are always exceptions like 141041 that went to a collector in New Jersey for $120K a couple of years ago. It had just about everything, FHP, Modulars, CF, HiFi, spare tire, shields, Daytonas, and shelf, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That may be but there sure aren't 27% of them for sale that are manual, maybe 2 get posted on Piston Heads for sale in a year. The owners are obviously hanging on to them. That said there sure aren't 10% manuals for sale in NA either. Thanks for the correction about the head liner.
typo yes 6 sp i am working on a trade for a SA with stick!! of course ill have to pony up but he is not sure he wants to sell one day its yes another no we shall see great if it works but if not ,,, thats life
