I know some of you may find it cheeesy, but I am seriously considering this! 2010 Ferrari California GT for Sale in Boca Raton, FL 33487 - Global Autosports My kids just graduated college (Duke & UNC) so it's time to get another sports car. I already have a 04' Gallardo 6-speed and my wife complains that she can't drive a stick shift (that's why I bought it).... How much trouble will the resale be in 2-3 years? I am hoping I won't lose more than $50K over that time.
This car will be a resale nightmare. Most men would not want to be caught dead in a car like this. If you are concerned about resale, think red. Otherwise, I think the car does look pretty cool and would definitely suit your wife provided she loves pink. Also, you would never be accused of buying the car for yourself .
There is a pink Porsche Cayenne running around Toledo ... just too much. I would also suggest wrapping a white car, white can be resold once the wrap is pulled off. Rick
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this one for sale is already wrapped. Sounds like the perfect gift for any wife, good excuse to go to car shows as a duo of cars.
+1 Wrap is the much cheaper way to go if you plan to resell down the line.. Wonder who was the prior owner of this car???
Since you're asking... My wife would shoot me if I brought this home for her - but that's her. Like others have suggested: buy one in a normal color and have it wrapped. Probably black or white so it wouldn't look too weird with the hood/trunk/doors opened. (unless they wrap those also.) my 2 cents on the topic. John
You know what I would do - I would do whatever you want to. A Ferrari is such a personalized purchase from stupidly priced CF pieces to rims and color. Have you seen the sticker with options listed? If that is not wrap then someone paid a gazillion for the off production color. But I think it is wrap as the driver side vents are black but the passenger side is pink. Going down this rabbit hole I would not buy a car with wrap, who knows what is hiding under there. But, if it is off production color then at $169K you are getting a great deal. Did I confuse you enough
I hope your wife actually loves pink and does not think you are being condescending by buying a "girl's colour." Seen a few pink cars--Lambo, Rolls, Bentley, S-class Benz, Lexus, etc. They were all revolting.
I agree. As mtarvydas notes, the driver side vents are black, but the passenger side vents are pink??? If this car were painted pink, and your wife truly likes the color, I would think that it would be possible to negotiate a significant discount now, so that there is less downside for a resale hit later.
That changes everything. You can always do a repaint before you sell. One of my old philosopher friends once told me, "Listen to your wife, and you will be a happy man." Enjoy.
